Could new tech make those places easier and more fun on the busiest days, instead of stressful? In this learning session with guest researcher **Jonathan Courtois (Université Côte d’Azur), who works on motion sensing for compact devices and even spatial projects**, will explore a new way of sensing movement, then imagine ideas like pop up signs that point people toward a **less crowded** street, or simple motion reactive cues that **keep foot traffic flowing**. **Guest researcher: Jonathan Courtois** Jonathan Courtois is a PhD and research engineer at **L**EAT (Université Côte d’Azur) working at the intersection of embedded systems and next generation vision, including event based vision and spiking neural networks. He focuses on how these approaches can run on compact hardware under real world constraints, and he is especially curious about advanced applications, including space contexts. He is the founder of Golden Lotus, Inc., which owns & operates 'Song of the Morning' an 800 acre Yoga Retreat Northest of Gaylord, MI on the Pigeon River. Paramahansa Yogananda founded Self Realization Fellowship, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and is the author of the Spritual Classic, 'Autobiography of a Yogi.'

We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
