Hi everyone, Berlin Lingua Hub’s **Afterwork Cultural Picnic** is back, finally!!! Twice a month, we’ll meet at **Monbijou Park** for a relaxed evening of **good conversations, new connections, and cultural exchange**. **What’s the idea?** We keep it simple: **bring your favorite drinks or snacks**, enjoy a laid-back picnic, and connect with people from all over the world. Whether you’re new in Berlin or have been here for years, this is a great way to meet interesting people in a relaxed atmosphere. **What about languages?** This is not a structured Sprachcafé, but since Berlin Lingua Hub is all about languages and cultural exchange, you’ll naturally find people speaking different languages. Feel free to practice, mix languages, or simply enjoy great conversations in any language you’re comfortable with. **When & Where?** 📍 **Monbijou Park** – Meeting point is at the west right corner of the park, alongside the Oranienburger Str. Liebe Schrägen, habt ihr Lust Basketball um Obama zu zelebrieren zu spielen? Wir treffen uns um 16 Uhr in der Nähe von Firlstraße / An der Wuhlheide. Wir setzen uns für eine halbe Stunde, bis wir alle da sind, dann spielen wir. Selbst bin ich Anfänger und gar nicht in Top Form. Die Regeln: Erst nach Zehn! Wir stehen üngefähr drei bis fünf Meter vor dem Korb. Wir werfen den Ball in den Korb. Wenn man erfolgreich den Ball in den Korb geworfen hat geht man weiter und wirft nochmal, doch diesmal mit der anderen Hand. Jedoch, wenn der Ball nicht in den Korb geht, dann ist der nächste Spieler an der Reihe. Erst nach Zehn. Eventuell wird es auch etwas Musik mit der JBL sein. Making friends isn’t easy but it’s not completely random either - opening up is key. Instead of doing that in a cafe with noises, our small-group (limited to 10 people) meet-up wants to forge deep connections through talking about something personal, something more than meets the eyes in s safe space - without being disturbed or judged. We believe in the power of being vulnerable. Without that, people don’t know who you really are and what your story is. Whether you just moved to Berlin or have lived here for years, this is an opportunity to meet people who care about similar things and are willing to talk about it. How? We use tried-and-proved questions cards to lead the conversations and break into smaller groups for an even more comfortable setting to chat deep. That’s along with snacks and drinks. We just started hosting for a while so this event is completely free. The only thing you bring is a good mood, an open mind and detailed feedback for us. (We refrained from taking photos of our participants to protect their privacy so the event photo is a generic one) Q&A: What’s the language of the event? It’s in English. One of the hosts is German so he can help with some translation but all conversations will be in English. What are the food and drinks provided? We offer chips, water and juices.
