LDS Support

Every Thursday at 7pm-8pm we offer free online peer support sessions. These are an opportunity to meet with other people who have left high control religious groups and share your experiences and make friends. This is not professional therapy, but these sessions are run by trained facilitators on Zoom. Our sessions have on average about 10 people in attendance, we have ex Muslims, exVangelicals, ex Jehovah's Witnesses, ex Haredi, ex Mormon and ex other groups. Conversations can be on a wide range of topics to family and whether there is any contact, food and dress, how to make friends since leaving and so on. You don't have to share if you don't feel comfortable but are free to do so. You can attend as often or as little as you like. Join the weight loss in Columbus group at the Scioto Audubon Park for an in person meeting. We'll meet to chat casually, talk about goals and enjoy one of Columbus's wonderful parks. We'll meet at one of the outdoor shelters, which is covered in case of rain, is close to some walking trails, and there's also a climbing gym that people can try out (my favorite past time) if people are interested.
