NestJS Meetup #1 - From Request to Response & Clean CQRS
**🎉 Our very first NestJS Meetup!** Join us for an after-work technical meetup focused entirely on the **NestJS Framework**. Connect with fellow engineers over drinks and snacks, and dive into practical, architecture-focused sessions designed to level up your backend development. Whether you're exploring the framework or deploying it at scale, this event is built for you. **Talk 1: From Request to Response – Observing Fastify in NestJS** * **Getting Started:** Core concepts, project scaffolding, and leveraging NestJS's modular architecture for scalable applications. * **The Request Lifecycle:** A deep dive into the execution flow. Understand the exact ordering of Middleware, Guards, Interceptors, Pipes, Exception Filters, and Controllers. * **Observability with Interceptors:** Implement cross-cutting concerns (logging, metrics, payload transformation, error tracking) cleanly without polluting business logic. **Talk 2: Clean CQRS with Pipelines** * **CQRS Implementation:** Build clean and maintainable CQRS architectures using pipeline behaviors for commands, queries, and events. * **Centralized Logic:** Encapsulate logging, correlation IDs, authorization, and validation in reusable components. * **The Outcome:** Achieve decoupled event flows, consistent validation, and significantly improved system maintainability. **Event Details** * Two technical deep-dives + Q&A + Networking * Drinks & Snacks provided * Backend Engineers. All NestJS experience levels welcome! Come learn, share your architectural insights, and help grow the local NestJS engineering community. We look forward to seeing you!

We are pleased to bring you two talks this time. This event will be held in the offices of our sponsor Moro Technology, 28is Oktovriou 5, Omonia square, Stoa Trikoupi. **1st talk:** "Building with Antigravity" by [Mete Atamel ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/meteatamel/) **Abstract:** Google Antigravity transforms your regular IDE into an agentic development platform. Beyond basic tab completion, Antigravity offers an intuitive, artifact-based approach to monitoring and providing feedback to agents. By utilizing rules, workflows, and skills, you can fully customize the environment to your team’s best practices, while a dedicated browser subagent handles tasks outside the editor. Last but not least, its Agent Manager can spin up and coordinate multiple parallel agents across various workflows, allowing you to work at a higher level than the code itself. **Presenter:** Mete is a Software Engineer and a Developer Advocate at Google in London. He builds tools, demos, tutorials, and [gives talks](https://atamel.dev/speaker-profile/) to educate and help developers to be successful on Google Cloud. **2nd talk:** "Beyond RCA Speed: Understanding Change in Modern Production Systems" by [Spiros Economakis](https://www.linkedin.com/in/spirosoik/) **Abstract:** In cloud-native environments, deployments, configuration updates, scaling events, and dependency changes continuously reshape system behavior. Incidents rarely arrive without warning, they emerge from subtle interactions and behavioral drift that are difficult to interpret using dashboards, alerts, or post-incident analysis alone. This talk explores why improving root cause speed eventually plateaus, and why many teams are shifting focus toward understanding how change propagates through production systems. **Presenter:** A systems engineer with over 12 years of experience in diverse tech environments and author of "Argo CD in Practice" book. Founder & CEO of [NOFire AI](https://www.nofire.ai/). A Full Context Embedded SRE platform that operates across the entire lifecycle. Before Change, During Failure, After Resolution.

Men's Group meetup
Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
