Essayez de prendre des photos depuis le sol (merci les écrans orientables), travaillez la contre plongée, trouvez des points de vue originaux 2. **Noir & Blanc** Dans la foulée de l'expo Salgado, je vous propose aussi de travailler votre Noir & Blanc. This tradition, along with furniture stores was still overwhelming until the end of the last century. Slowly, the workshops and manufactories give way to private lofts, bars and startups. Behind the opera, clubs and restaurants swarm, vibrant outposts of one of Paris's favorite night district. Despite the rents rise year after year, and most of the wood related shops have closed down or moved away, the neighborhood is full of beautiful and little known back alleyways and leafy private yards, where the sound of wood work can still be heard. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map.
