Join us for a beautiful and varied hike along the eastern part of the Circuit du Lac, around Luxembourg’s stunning Upper Sûre Lake. This route offers a perfect mix of forest trails, rolling hills, and breathtaking viewpoints over the lake. Along the way, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the reservoir, pass through peaceful nature, and cross highlights such as the Lultzhausen floating bridge. This is a moderate but rewarding hike, ideal for those who enjoy longer walks with great scenery. 📍 Hike Details • Route: Circuit du Lac (eastern section – loop) • Distance: ~16.8 km • Duration: about 5 hours (including breaks) • Elevation gain: ~500 m • Elevation loss: ~500 m • Difficulty: Moderate 🚌 Getting there (Public Transport) From Luxembourg City, the easiest route is: 1. Take a train to Kautenbach 2. From Kautenbach, take a bus (line 146) to Esch-sur-Sûre bus stop „an de Gäert“ 🎒 What to bring • Good hiking shoes • Enough water • Snacks or lunch • Weather-appropriate clothing ℹ️ Additional information We will hike at a comfortable pace with regular breaks to enjoy the views and take photos. The route includes several scenic highlights, including viewpoints over the lake and a crossing at the floating bridge in Lultzhausen. Suitable for participants with basic to good fitness. Welcome to our weekly physical or virtual Club Polyglotte meeting. * As usual, a minimum consumption of one drink or something small to eat is obligatory at Restaurant Quai Steffen at 13, Place de la gare at the Luxembourg railway station. * We start our get together at 19:00 h and finish at 22:00 h. As on every Tuesday, participate at one of the following language tables: 1. English 2. French 3. Luxemburgish 4. German 5. Spanish 6. Italian or languages like Mandarin, Russian, Romanian or Arabic, if needed. We are constantly searching for Buddies who lead the various language tables and for those who would like to participate in the organisation for our club established in 1999.
