Like the Brisbane Atheists' pre-pandemic meetups at the library in George Street, we will: 1. Start with a meet, greet and each of us will introduce ourselves and our interests 2. Then discuss the topic(s) of the evening including the ones that you wish to raise 3. Keep to the general theme of Atheism and rational thought/humanism 4. If time permits, stray to other topics like current affairs and etcetera. These online meetups are being organised in conjunction with the Progressive Atheists who have been organising online meetings for Atheists every week since March 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. As the name says, 'Queensland Atheists Online' is for Atheists in Queensland in addition to the Brisbane Atheists. It is an opportunity to catch up with the people you have met at past Atheist meetups or online and/or you can also make new friends. If you have not been able to attend meetups before then this is your opportunity to attend. The first part of the get together is for catching up and general conversation. The second part of the get together is for anyone to introduce a topic followed by a discussion about it (a soapbox). We will be using Zoom and the link becomes available when you RSVP. If you are too late to RSVP then put a comment in the meetup discussion and we may be able to get the link to you. Progressive Atheists will organise more online meetings for other Atheists with various purposes. They can organise online meetings exclusively for smaller Atheist meetups. They can also have special meetings to discuss campaigns or have meetings just for group organisers and etcetera. Please contact them with your request. This is a 45-60 minute soothing meditation, assisted around singing bowls, most of them crystal. The goal is to relax your body, soothe your soul, and balance your your energy. I have figured out how to recreate the experience of a live sound bath on the internet. One of the things we find is that singing bowls, especially the crystal ones, seem to transmit some of the energy of the practitioner, which means that it is helpful when the practitioner is confident in their technique and in sound theory, is centered and grounded, and works with healing intent. If you have had an uncomfortable experience in a sound bath, the practitioner may have been off that day. Please note that the session on the last Saturday of the month is a more focused, coached experience designed to help you move through trauma. We are meeting on ZOOM! Meetings are still formatted to allow 15 minutes of sharing, one hour of writing, and a 15-minute wrap-up chat at the end. There are several traits inside all of us that precisely make us who we are and that is called our personality. A lot of it depends on how the outside world perceives our personality and reacts to it. Over the years many have tried head over heels in order to determine several types of personality traits that could constitute all of them but there hasn’t been any success so far in that regard and the topic remains debated. But talking about the different types of personalities, the experts have been able to find certain personality traits that constitute a personality on the whole and we will discuss those traits further. But before that, we must say that the overall personality of a human being can be a combination of all those traits or one or two of them. Only in depth study can allow us to determine the traits of the personality.
