Le Language & Poetry Club est une expérience immersive où la poésie devient un terrain de jeu entre langues, émotions et création. Lors de cette édition spéciale, nous explorerons une sélection de poèmes autour du thème de **l’amour et du désir**, entre lecture, traduction et interprétation collective. ✨ Au programme : — Lecture du poème (FR / EN) — Traduction vivante et accessible — Analyse des thèmes (amour, manque, beauté, intensité) — Écriture d’une poésie personnelle guidée — Partage pour ceux qui le souhaitent Aucun niveau requis. Juste de la curiosité. Que tu sois francophone, anglophone ou entre les deux, cet espace est fait pour ressentir, comprendre et créer. 🎟️ Consommation obligatoire (hors café simple) Ici, on prend le temps de se rencontrer autrement, à travers les mots, les silences, les émotions. Après l’écriture, la soirée se prolonge naturellement autour de discussions, de partages et de rencontres, dans une ambiance douce et ouverte. Un espace pour échanger, s’inspirer… et peut- être créer des liens inattendus autour de la poésie. Repars avec tes mots, et peut-être un peu plus.

Rejoignez Loïc Lahellec un Guitariste-arrangeur qui propose un projet mêlant compositions originales et arrangements de musiques de jeux vidéo déclinées à travers le prisme du jazz, en les mêlant à des standards, aux couleurs de la musique modale, au bebop, et en jouant sur les passerelles entre ces différents répertoires qui le touchent profondément. **Step into the laid-back charm of Cosy Cave Conversations**, a Parisian philosophy chat that's more relaxed than a cat in a sunbeam 🐈 🌞 Gather with a bunch of easygoing souls, share thoughts on the good life and its mysteries, enjoy a beverage, and have a good laugh. A few things to be aware of: * **Please** **don't show up without a spot** (we aim to keep it cosy and we always have a waiting list these days — check if you’re on the list or the waiting list) * If it's your first event, it's essential you **turn up early, or at the latest on time (<7pm)** so you understand how it works, what the topic is and don't interrupt the session * The **session runs from 7pm to 8:30pm** where we focus on the discussion, but don't worry, you'll have a chance to socialise, introduce yourselves and continue the chat after the session. **If you’re running late** (the curtains are closed), that’s okay, but please wait to join us in the break rather than interrupting the session. * Please read the **tips below** for a good session before coming along **How does it work?** We embrace the café-philo method — proposing intriguing topics on the night (up to 3), choosing one together, and diving into everything from consciousness, community, death and god, while managing to keep it light and easy 🦦 **Forget the stiff atmosphere**, we're all about small groups (\~10 people) and unpretentious chats with no homework required. Let's get together with a drink and discuss this book. *Nausea* is the story of Antoine Roquentin, a French writer who is horrified at his own existence. In impressionistic, diary form he ruthlessly catalogues his every feeling and sensation about the world and people around him. His thoughts culminate in a pervasive, overpowering feeling of nausea which "spread at the bottom of the viscous puddle, at the bottom of *our* time, the time of purple suspenders and broken chair seats; it is made of wide, soft instants, spreading at the edge, like an oil stain." Roquentin's efforts to try and come to terms with his life, his philosophical and psychological struggles, give Sartre the opportunity to dramatize the tenets of his Existentialist creed. The introduction for this edition of *Nausea* by Hayden Carruth gives background on Sartre's life and major works, a summary of the principal themes of Existentialist philosophy, and a critical analysis of the novel itself. The Aeneid is a Latin epic poem that tells the legendary story of Aeneas, a Trojan who fled the fall of Troy and travelled to Italy, where he became the ancestor of the Romans. Written by the Roman poet Virgil between 29 and 19 BC, the Aeneid comprises 9,896 lines in dactylic hexameter. The first six of its twelve books tell the story of Aeneas' wanderings from Troy to Italy, and the latter six tell of the Trojans' ultimately victorious war upon the Latins, under whose name Aeneas and his Trojan followers are destined to be subsumed. The hero Aeneas was already known to Graeco-Roman legend and myth, having been a character in the Iliad. Virgil took the disconnected tales of Aeneas' wanderings, his vague association with the foundation of Rome, and his description as a personage of no fixed characteristics other than a scrupulous pietas, and fashioned the Aeneid into a compelling founding myth or national epic that tied Rome to the legends of Troy, explained the Punic Wars, glorified traditional Roman virtues, and legitimized the Julio-Claudian dynasty as descendants of the founders, heroes, and gods of Rome and Troy.
