This meeting will be ONLINE via Zoom due to the shut down of the library. Please join us! You must first download the free zoom app in order to join the meeting. This is a new experience for most of us, so come and join us as we learn together. In the first 15 minutes of the meeting we will be going over the application of zoom to help everyone get acclimated to the process of using this new form of communication until we can meet in person once again. Our club has been newly charted and we are now having official Toastmasters meeting. Come and join us and see what Toastmasters is all about. You will experience how to use your words more effectively, listen more accurately, and speak off the cuff. This is known as Impromptu speaking, where you can answer any random questions in an unique, interesting and fun way that will capture your audience attention. What it is A weekly 1 hour connection and empathy space currently hosted by people who have experience in NVC, for anyone interested in NVC. This is not a workshop but a peer listening space to encourage listening. Who it’s for Everyone who is interested in NVC is welcome. No need for formal training but it’s great if you have been to some trainings. Come if you want to practice listening. Come if you’d enjoy a listening ear. What happens We offer a structure which offers clear guidance to everyone about what to do. Format (Each host will hold the space in a slightly different way but the overall structure will be the same) • Check-in • breakout into 3s for empathy and listening. (Empathy guidelines will be given and you can respond to the generative question ‘What do you want empathy for or to talk through?’) • Closing Self responsibility This is a reminder that everyone is responsible for themselves and we encourage you to take care of your own emotional safety.
