New developers spend weeks reverse-engineering codebases, architecture lives in people’s heads, and wikis quietly decay into noise. With AI now entering the picture, many hope it will fill the gaps. It won’t. I’ll show the simple ideas that change everything: how to think about documentation in the right levels, how to keep it close to the code, and how to avoid the decay we all know too well. These are the decisions that have to be made before any tool or process can work. The documentation won’t write itself. Some are better, others are worse. The best solutions are easy to understand, maintain and errors are not able to hide. While generative AI lowers entry barriers for basic tasks, it disproportionately amplifies the productivity and leverage of already computer literate users. Empirical research shows that AI acts as a skill multiplier rather than a true equalizer, with outcomes strongly dependent on users’ ability to frame problems, verify outputs, and integrate tools into complex workflows. Please contact me if you want to join the class. Добрый день! This class is for learners with a level B1 or higher. We will learn Russian rock songs and do exercises and discussions based on them. We will use the book Russian rock and Russian Grammar. We will meet one time per week. Below is an information about the class. Cost: 2 students 35 chf per hour, 3 or more student 25 chf per hour per person. Class Length: 1 hour Class structure: • We read a text or a chapter from a book, discuss new words. We learn part of grammar and practice using it. • After that we discuss the topic and answer the text follow-up questions. • I also give homework tasks to make sentences with new words or do a grammar exercises. • If we finish the exercises earlier, we play word games or have a free chat.
