We will begin our jog/run from Anchorvale CC towards Punggol using Sengkang Riverside Park running route, U-turn back to Anchorvale CC once we hit 2.5KM mark (Total distance 5KM) After that, we will end our run @ Anchorvale Village Hawker Centre to mingle and chit chat (No obligation to join for post run session) Notes: ► As there is no storage space for your belongings, do travel light. ► We will do a warm-up at 7.30PM and the run will start at 7.45PM sharp. ► This is a rain-or-shine event. It is a scenic hike to enjoy the peaceful morning, greenery and the canopy of trees at **Thomson Nature Park** & the **scenic Peirce Reservoir**. We'll meet at SpringLeaf Mrt where you can go there earlier if you like to enjoy your Hakka Yong Tau Foo or SpringLeaf Prata breakfast first before meeting us. At 8am, we'll set off to explore and discover the **LOST OLD HAINAN VILLAGE** Heritage Trail and it's beautiful historical ruins. Thereafter we'll continue our hike under the shade of trees on the boardwalks leading to the edge of Peirce Reservoir for you to enjoy the beautiful reflection of the waters and the nice scenery around you. **Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!** **We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop.
