***Join us as we head back into the massive, untouched wilderness of Algonquin Park for our second camping adventure of the year!***
We are returning to the legendary home of Ontario nature to soak in the early season vibes. Algonquin is famous for its tall trees and stunning scenery. This trip is an easy introduction to the wild, making it perfect for those who want to get comfortable in the woods, while still having the convenience of a frontcountry site.
Our base for the weekend is a site on the edge of Whitefish Lake, where we will have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the fresh forest air. You can hike, learn to master a campfire or simply relax by the water as the sun dips below the tree line. When night falls, we will share a communal meal under some of the clearest, most *magic star-filled skies* you have ever seen.
On day 2 of this adventure, we’ll take the morning to learn canoe fundamentals from our guides. Once we complete the lesson, you can either hang out at camp and relax on the beach or paddle to one of two stunning hikes near the camp.
We have handled all the logistics and gear so you can focus on making new friends and soaking in the peace of the woods. If you are looking to build your confidence for more rugged trips later in the summer, this is the perfect place to start.

Calm Beltline Trail Walk: Caledonia LRT Station to Davisville Station
**Calm Beltline Trail Walk: Caledonia Station to Davisville Station**
Join us for a relaxed, no-pressure walk along Toronto’s Beltline Trail, from **Caledonia Station to Davisville Station**.
This route follows part of the old **Toronto Belt Line Railway**, a former rail corridor that once looped around midtown Toronto. Today, much of that railway space has been turned into a peaceful linear trail, connecting neighbourhoods through tree-lined paths, quiet residential areas, bridges, and green spaces. The Kay Gardner section of the Beltline is especially meaningful because local advocates helped protect the old rail corridor from private development and turn it into a public trail and park.
We’ll start near **Caledonia Station** and walk east along the York Beltline and Kay Gardner Beltline Trail toward **Davisville Station**. The route is mostly flat and follows a calm, easy-to-navigate path. It’s a nice mix of city and nature: trees, open trail sections, quiet crossings, and little reminders of the railway history along the way.
As always, this is a low-pressure walk. You’re welcome to chat, walk quietly, or move between the two. There are no icebreakers, no networking, and no expectation to socialize in any particular way. Just showing up and being present is enough.
**Date:** Sunday, May 31, 2026
**Time:** 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
**Meeting point:** Caledonia Station Main Entrance ([The Eglinton Ave West Exit](https://maps.app.goo.gl/NYVTYdDcK7sxHDiC6))
**End point:** Davisville Station
**Route:** Caledonia LRT Station to Davisville Station via the Beltline Trail ([https://maps.app.goo.gl/z41TLM6DjPvMVcTP7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/z41TLM6DjPvMVcTP7))
**Distance:** About 7.5 km
**Pace:** Comfortable walking pace, with short pauses as needed
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start walking at **2:30 PM**.
### What to wear
Wear comfortable shoes suitable for a longer city trail walk. The route is mostly flat, but we’ll still be walking for around an hour and a half, so comfort matters more than style.
We’ll finish near **Davisville Station**, so it will be easy to head home by TTC afterward.
Looking forward to a calm Sunday walk together.

Wilder Series: Beaver Valley Mega Hike
**Please note the only way to register for this adventure is on [our website.](https://www.wildernessunion.com/adventures/beaver-valley-26)**
***Get ready for one of the hardest day-hike adventures in Wilderness Union history!***
Welcome to the next installment of the Wilder Series: this gorgeous, nearly 30km hike through Beaver Valley is not for the faint of heart. The pay off, however, is incredible, as you’ll pass multiple waterfalls, experienec stunning hilltop views and finish with a huge sense of accomplishment for completing this challenging adventure.
While more rural than wild, you will feel immersed in remote nature with few other people to be found as you trek along the trail. You can expect lush forest canopies, diverse terrain and a great group to adventure onwards with. Due to the length of this adventure, we will move at a continuous pace of 3-3.5km per hour.
While Ontario is fairly flat, this loop has significant elevation gain. You can expect a lot of ascents and descents throughout the day, which will make the distance covered more challenging but the views that much more exquisite.
Please note that attendees will need a high fitness level to successfully complete this adventure. This will be a serious challenge!
**Highlights**
**Stunning waterfalls:** Experience two of Ontario’s most stunning water features- Eugenia Falls and Hogg’s Falls.
**Secluded wilderness:** Enjoy the feeling of near total seclusion on the trail. Just you, the forest and your fellow adventurers.
**Type 2 fun:** This adventure will not be easy but, for those willing to meet the challenge, it will be supremely rewarding!
**Event cost: $50+HST (for explorer members) - $50 optional transport available.**
**Register [here.](https://www.wildernessunion.com/adventures/beaver-valley-26)**

It's better when we're together. Come and experience the power of the WHM with a wonderful group of people. We breathe, we go into the cold and we teach our bodies to heat up properly. We develop resilience and the mindset to use these powerful healing tools over and over again, all year round. This gathering is fully guided by Wim Hof instructor Steve Beattie.
If you are new to this, come on down, enjoy the support and practice in a safe way with us. If you already have a WHM practice this meetup is a great way to take it to the next level, and make lots of new friends.
