Mystical Spirituality Study Group
Mystical Spirituality Study Group
This group is dedicated to teaching and living The Ancient Mystery Teachings today. The goal is to help everyone realize our oneness with God in a way that empowers us to fulfill our divine calling. The teachings are non-sectarian and rather then being about self-development, we are about developing our consciousness of God in service to humanity. One of the most important ways to learn is by practicing concentration, to be able to focus and develop a quiet mind. We'll meditate, to experience an inner connection, practice concentration exercises and Lessons of The Golden Force. The inner path. Classes are free.

I have decided to post these video calls as events because of two things. The second one is the most important, so please read through to the end at least once. Firstly, I have become aware that many people do not know that we have video calls on Monday nights, in spite of the fact that I mention it in all of my monthly broadcast messages. I have literally had someone say, I wish I had known. Secondly, and most importantly, In the past, I never know ahead of time how many people will join the video call. This event page will give us a chance to announce that we will join the video call. Human nature being what it is, more people will join if they know you are participating, because you are intelligent and interesting. So, it is very important that we click on Attend, so that the event host and the other members will know that we will participate. At the day and time indicated on this event, please join the following video call... https://meet.google.com/czy-fvdd-wvo I have tested this on Windows 10, Android, and iOS and it works fine. I have also tested it on Windows XP, and it does NOT work on Windows XP. The first time you attempt to use it in Android or iOS, you will be redirected to Google Play, or The App Store, to download the FREE Google Meet app. You can do this ahead of time if you prefer. If you find yourself at a dialogue box that is asking for a meeting code, it is that part of the link after "https∶∕∕meet.google.com/". That is, if the link is https∶∕∕meet.google.com/yyy-yyyy-yyy, it's the yyy-yyyy-yyy part.

Friday's open meetup
Friday's open meetup
Friday's open meetup is the place for small talk, meeting new people and exchanging ideas. Join our discord server and chat in a relax and friendly setting. There is no formal structure for those meetings, and you're free to come up with whatever topic you want. Some examples: * You want to have someone to talk to while working out a concept * You need motivation to work on your project each week * You want to stream your development * You want to learn about the Luxembourgish game dev community * You have general questions about game development * You need technical help * You want to collaborate * You want to present a project * You want to talk about games * You have nothing better to do * Etc... Since it's a weekly event, we don't really expect people to rsvp (except if you need to see the server link). Just drop in whenever you like, use the text channel or go straight into voice chat. Everybody is welcome! Spoken/common language is usually English. Discord: *Please note that you will need a verified discord account in order to access the server, so it's better to handle that in advance.*

Connect to Zoom meetup by clicking on the link. Participants are welcome to join the Main Room starting at 16:00 EST/ 21:00 GMT. We encourage all participants to sign in promptly by 16:00 EST/21:00 GMT. This allows for sufficient time to generate the full attendee list and assign roles based on your language skill level. Please right-click on your image in the screen and select "Rename". Add your French Language Skill Level, ranging from F1 = Beginner to F5 = Advanced & F6= Exceptional, in front of your name. For example, "F5 - Jean" or "F3 - John". This is essential for helping organizers mix and match different skill levels and form pairs for one-on-one conversation sessions. The organizer will manage each pair using breakout rooms and will rotate partners every 15 minutes. In each session, half the time in French and half the time in English. Breakout rooms will be opened for conversation sessions at 16:15 EST /21:15 GMT. All individual sessions will conclude at 18:00 EST/23:00 GMT. Par exemple, "F5 - Jean" or "F3 - John". "Metal Slinger" by Rachel Schneider
"Metal Slinger" by Rachel Schneider
Join us as we discuss our June pick: Metal Slinger by Rachel Schneider! Book description: Even though she's not one of them, Brynn has spent her life among the Alaha, training to be a guard and waiting for the chance to attend the annual market hosted by the Kenta–the very same people who exiled her adopted community to a life at sea. Going to the market is a rite of passage eagerly anticipated by all young guards, but Brynn does not anticipate breaking a century-long peace treaty while there. Nor does she plan for the intense encounter with an enemy soldier that now threatens to unwind the fragile coexistence between their people–and everything Brynn once believed about herself to be true. Brynn's loyalty to the Alaha is tested when the truth of her identity is brought to light by this soldier who's taken an oath to bring her back to where she belongs. Narrowly escaping death on the violent high seas, Brynn's connection to the Alaha is further tested when she learns about the world of magic she's been denied. She was once certain of her fate and where she belonged, but the dark, knowing eyes of this stranger have her questioning everything, including her heart. Packed with knife fights and seafaring adventure, METAL SLINGER is the smash-hit start to the romantic fantasy duology, the Fire & Metal series

Jules and Jim, the Book!
Jules and Jim, the Book!
By popular demand, the group wanted to read and discuss the semi-autobiographical novel by Henri-Pierre Roche, that inspired the Truffaut movie we watched last year. The book is available through the Columbus Library's interlibrary loan system. They reported there are twenty-eight copies available in the state of Ohio. If you have a library card, you can file an interlibrary loan request here: https://www.columbuslibrary.org/library-services/ . There are also used copies available on Amazon and eBay for under twenty dollars. You may want to rewatch the movie after reading the book, so we can compare and contrast in our discussion. The Columbus Library has four copies on DVD, and it's streaming on HBOMax.
