Are you learning Spanish and feel that you need more conversation but are shy to speak? Here you will meet beginners and intermediate and we all will make mistakes in our Spanish communication so it will be just fun! Drawing on acoustic instruments, field recordings, and electronic textures, Chris blends newly written pieces with improvisation, creating adventurous and immersive soundscapes. Part of a three-day residency at the Skaut Institut, the performance brings together Prague-based violinist Barbora Bodláková with UK performers Roger Heathers, Declan Kitchener, and Suphena. We are a group of runners who meet most weeks for a run around the beautiful Vltava River's edge. You can bring your running shoes straight from the office/home office if you don't have time to stop at home. There will be a place to put your bags in the Cafe. We will run about 9 km along the river and have a drink afterwards. Paces vary! We will meet in the square near Kavarna Liberal (Hermanova 6), near the Vltavska metro/tram stop at 6:30 on Wednesday. One of the best views in Prague, a DJ, and a long summer evening full of our international community 😁 We’re taking over the rooftop at Vítkov and turning it into a simple sunset session. Come for the view, stay for the music, maybe don’t leave too early. **What to expect:** • Open-air rooftop with full city views • Sunset into night with DJs playing throughout • Grill & bar running all evening • Easy mix of people, good atmosphere It runs for around 6 hours, so you can drop by for sunset or stay the whole time. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
