I di'nt trust my ears, the first time I heard their vivacious chirping, while cruising with my bike on the Donauinsel.
But i's true, a little colony of bea-eaters enriches the sky and the trees over there, I made some fotos.
If anyone is interested to see one of the most colorful birds in Austria, please follow me, **on wednesday 27.05.**

ich traute meinen Ohren kaum, als ich vorgestern das muntere Zwitschern von Bienenfressern hörte, während ich mit dem Rad die Donauinsel entlang fuhr. Aber tatsächlich, eine kleine Gruppe davon bereichert den Himmel und die Bäume, rund um einen Hügel mit lehmiger Steilwand.
Wer mit mir eine der schönsten Vogelarten Österreichs beobachten, vielleicht auch fotografieren möchte, ist herzlich eingeladen zu diesem Event **am MI, 27.05.**
Treffpunkt ist die **U2 Station Donaustadtbrücke, um 10:00**

This route takes us through forests and hills around the southern edge of Vienna, passing places like Zugberg, Wiener Hütte and Maurer Wald.
Along the way we’ll also see the famous Wotruba Church and the open-air planetarium Sterngarten Georgenberg.

💠 Dann kommt der erste WALK & TALK Abschnitt. Wir gehen in 2er oder 3er Grüppchen (in mittlerem Tempo) flussabwärts bis zur Franzensbrücke und wieder retour.
💠 Bei ca jeder zweiten Brücke machen wir einen Halt und ich lade euch herzlich zum gemeinsamen Singen ein. „Nur“ zuhören ist auch „erlaubt“. Am Programm stehen kurze internationale Lieder, die leicht zu lernen sind. Die Liedertexte nutzen wir auf digitalem Weg. Wir singen also vom Bildschirm und vielleicht auch schnell auswendig. Ich schicke euch nach der Anmeldung einen Wetransfer-Link zum Runterladen des PDF mit der W&T&S Liedersammlung. Das Programm entsteht intuitiv, angepasst an die Gruppe. Soft reminder: Handy aufgeladen haben.

WE WILL BE MEETING AT THE SHARON WOODS METRO PARK - THIS MONTH ONLY.
Sharon Woods Metro Park, 6911 Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081
Enter the park from Cleveland Avenue and stay on the main park drive until it dead-ends into a turn around parking lot. We will meet at the Schrock Lake Shelter just off this parking area to the right.
We will be taking a Guided Walk with access very near the shelter, on the Edward S Thomas trail, an ADA flat, hard-packed gravel surface trail. This walk will be led by Carrie Keller, Outdoor Naturalist at the park, and Megan Richley, Inclusion Coordinator for the Metro Parks.
Wear sneakers or other shoes covering the entire foot.
Sandals or flip-flops are ill advised.
Sighted guides will be available.
Target audience for this group is persons who are visually impaired, especially those who have experienced recent loss, however, all are welcome, including family members and supports. Light refreshments will be served.
There will not be a Conference Call option for this meeting.

Join us this Thursday 6:30 pm at the Westerville Veterans Memorial for two loops around the Westerville Sports Complex fields. This 1 mile loop is a flat fully paved trail that straddles Alum Creek. Join us for a beautiful evening hike together!

**Two for Tuesdays** is for the people who actually want to get out and do something instead of just talking about it. We’re kicking off the night with a one-hour social walk before Duckpin Social.
**Expect a laid-back** But an Intentional 1 hour walk (2-3 miles), good people, and a better way to spend your Tuesday than staying home and doing the same thing you always do.
**If the weather does not cooperate, we’ll move indoors.**
