EST/A/B/LISH: Composer and sound engineer Chris Baker presents a live exploration of immersive sound and music, a practice honed through years of experimental work in film sound and music. Drawing on acoustic instruments, field recordings, and electronic textures, Chris blends newly written pieces with improvisation, creating adventurous and immersive soundscapes. Part of a three-day residency at the Skaut Institut, the performance brings together Prague-based violinist Barbora Bodláková with UK performers Roger Heathers, Declan Kitchener, and Suphena. The musicians perform together in the centre of the space, while the audience listens from the surrounding balconies — an unusual setup that places the music at the heart of the building, with sound emanating out in all directions. www.chrisbakersound.com

**Galaksia Praha 23** is letting **players to join** each of **their trainings for free** **as a trial** session to join the **5x5** Galaksia **basketball** team. If you are interested to join the team, you can **sign up here**. Maximum 2 players will be joining the training as trials. Please sign up **to only one training** as only one trial is allowed per player. If you sign up to more than one sessions, only the earliest one will be kept. Once you signed in and are therefore confirmed, **please be at** the address (ZŠ Bítovská indoor basketball court) **at 19h15** to be ready for the training starting at 19h30. After receiving Coaches feedback, we will then reach out back to you following the trial. Let's play badminton at Sports Centre Olšanka. We'll meet at 10.40 and play for 60 minutes. If you have a Multisport card please bring it along, as it will make the court free for you and also reduce the cost for others. If you don't have a Multisport card the game will cost you a maximum of 150 crowns, probably much less. I will cover the cost of the court so please bring cash to pay me. There is a small organisation fee of 20 crowns for all players to participate in this event. Racquets can be rented for 50 crowns.

This time, we will meet to discuss the unbelievable story of Gisèle Pelicot after reading her recent memoir, Hymn to Life. We will meet, as always, on the last Sunday of the month, this time at The Globe Café, for an interesting discussion from a feminist perspective.

**Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!** **We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.** **If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward at Prost Beer and Wine Cafe. Www.prostcafe.com**

We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
