Join us in exploring the upper Danube valley on a ~13 km hike on May 17th! We will start in Laiz just west of Sigmaringen (depending on mood we may also just walk there). We will first walk upstream along the south bank of the Danube towards Inzigkofen, passing some cool rock formations and a bridge (pictured). Crossing the river at Inzigkofen train station, we go up into the forest, passing a ruined castle and more interesting rocks. We then make our way back to Laiz and Sigmaringen through a forested area north of the Danube.
All nature lovers and friendly hikers welcome. 😊🥾🌳👋 This hike is of only moderate difficulty and should be easily doable for anyone who can walk for a few hours.
🎒 What to bring: weather-appropriate clothing and forest-appropriate shoes; water and food
🚂 Sigmaringen is easy to reach from the Tübingen area via the RE6 train
