Ksenia Wahler: Need for Speed – Accelerating Your Cloud Journey in Financial Industry
Moving to the cloud at speed can be a challenge in a regulated environment, especially for large organizations held back by legacy technology, traditional processes and organizational constraints. In this session, we will highlight key criteria for a successful cloud transformation based on our experience with different FSI customers and demonstrate how AWS can help you deliver business value faster. We will discuss the most common obstacles encountered by our customers and share approaches to tackling these.

About Ksenia
I am a Principal Solutions Architect at AWS based in Zurich, Switzerland. In my role, I help to shape cloud adoption journeys of our largest global financial services customers. I hold a PhD in Computer Science and have over 15 years of experience in various technology roles in banking, insurance and other industries.

Tapas Jana: Apps2Cloud: Journey to AWS
Migration of Zurich Applications from On-Prem to AWS Cloud
In this presentation, I will be discussing Zurich’s cloud journey to AWS, including how we successfully migrated our applications to AWS while minimizing costs and disruptions to our business operations. We implemented “Apps2Cloud” program by leveraging a combination of business process automation, cloud-native technologies and DevSecOps best practices. Our centralized program has enabled us to bring our applications to the cloud faster and has allowed us to better manage and optimize our IT resources, resulting in significant cost savings and improved performance.

I am a DevOps Engineer and Cloud enthusiast working in Zurich Gruppe Deutschland, Cologne. My day-to-day responsibilities include building end-to-end CICD pipelines, containerizing applications, supporting applications to migrate to cloud and operate into it. I am dedicated to help my organization to achieve digital and cloud transformation goals.
