Lindy Hop 101: Essentials is a 10-week beginner course introducing the core rhythms, movements, and connection principles of Lindy Hop. Students learn fundamental footwork, basic partner communication, and essential figures in eight-count pattern. Over the course, the focus gradually expands from technique and timing to musicality, flow, and confident social dancing. By the end, participants build a strong foundation for dancing Lindy Hop with rhythm, connection, and ease.

Each 60-minute class is followed by a 30-minute guided practice open to both levels. During this time, students can warm up, review material from previous weeks, and try out ideas in a relaxed and supportive setting. Teachers may offer light structure or suggestions, but the focus is on practising together, building confidence, and getting comfortable with dancing socially across levels.

We believe: Lindy Hop is a Black American dance with rich cultural and historical roots. Dancing is a chance to connect with the stories, values, and creativity that shaped it. We invite our students to approach it with curiosity, appreciation, and respect.
