ABOUT BORA BORA
Bora Bora – Unquestionably the most mythical of the Pacific islands remains the island of all dreams. So much has been written about Bora Bora, and yet it is hard to find the right words to describe the magic that emanates from this island.
Seen from the air, the view has been compared to that of "a tiny emerald in a setting of turquoise, encircled by a sheltering necklace of sparkling pearls". The airport, built by US forces in 1942, is located on a palm fringed motu about 20 minutes by boat from the main village of Vaitape. The view of the main island from the airport is truly breathtaking, and as you travel across the spectacular lagoon you will soon understand why it is the main area of attraction for most visitors.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:
Day 1: Thursday, 11/05 at 5:15pm: DEPART BNA (NASHVILLE TN) to Papeete, Tahiti via Los Angeles on Delta / Air France. Our Fun Happenings group will fly overnight from LAX to Papeete Tahiti.
Day 2: Friday, 11/06: Upon our 6:00am Arrival on Friday, November 6th into Papeete Tahiti FAA'A International Airport, we are met and greeted by our Tahitian Tour company with a traditional flower lei and transferred to our domestic flight to the Island of Moorea for our 4-Night stay at Moorea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa.... We will arrive at our hotel mid-morning.... giving us a full day of relaxation or almost a full day to explore this magnificent island.
THINGS TO DO IN MOOREA.... PLACES TO EXPLORE:
Moorea is the sister island of Tahiti, where a relaxed barefoot existence prevails. For the next 5 days bask in the warm sunshine, plunge into clear blue waters of a calm lagoon, hire a wind surfer, rent a Jeep and explore the mountain valley's with exotic flowers at every turn. After only a few days on the island you will discover that Moorea has filled you with peace, delight and a wonderful sense of happiness.

Day 3: Saturday, 11/07: After Breakfast at our resort- we are greeted in the Lobby by our local tour guide for a Circle Island Safari Tour of Moorea to help orient us and tour this beautiful island... The northern side is punctuated by two lareg bays – Cooks and Opunohu. On Today's excursion, we make a stop at a Pineapple plantation to learn about this famous and most important resource on Moorea. Continue to the Belvedere, with a stop at a 'Marae' (ancient open air temple) to learn about the ancestral customs. From the Belvedere, experience the panoramic views overlooking the Cook and Oponohu Bays, and over the Rotui Mountain.
Day 4: Sunday 11/08: DAY AT LEISURE IN MOOREA OR JOIN OUR GROUP FOR A MORNING HIKE TO "THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS" - Led by our local hiking guide Azdine... as we explore old pathways to explore the remnants of ancient villages and maraes, which were ceremonial religious sites. You hike through fertile valleys amongst lush tropical vegetation. Azdine, the guide, will share information about geology, ancestral plants, medicine and sacred trees. You'll also hear intriguing Polynesian legends and taste wild island fruits and coconuts, plucked straight from the trees.
Day 5: Monday, 11/09: Today, bask in the sun or snorkel in the natural lagoons at our beautiful resort or join our group for an optional Sunset Catamaran Tour - as we circle the island on our own private chartered Catamaran with adult beverages, while we enjoy our Polynesian entertainment on board and the beautiful Tahitian Sunset.
Day 6: Tuesday, 11/10: Today, we fly on Air Tahiti to Bora Bora after breakfast at our resort.... We will say Good-bye to Moorea and the beautiful memories of the last 5 days- but welcome to explore the natural beauty of Bora Bora for the next 5 days....

Day 7: Wednesday, 11/11: Today, we embark on our included Snorkeling / Lagoon Excursion of Bora Bora... And, No visit to Bora Bora is complete without this exhilarating, unforgettable experience. Taken to the outer reef, you don snorkel and flippers, slip into the water (with just a touch of trepidation!) and watch Tahitian divers hand feed back-tip sharks right before your eyes.
Day 8: Thursday, 11/12: Free day to explore the island at your leisure... With all this coral, it is no wonder snorkeling and scuba diving are popular. Other activities are helicopter rides over and glass bottom boat trips around the island. Truly one of nature's most fabulous creations and is considered by many to be the most beautiful island in the world.
Day 9: Friday, 11/13: Join our group for an optional tour aboard our private chartered boat for an Amazing Day of snorkeling, exploring hidden lagoons and enjoying a Tahitian BBQ Feast for lunch... We'll snorkel in coral gardens, swim in pristine waters, encounter sharks, stingrays, colorful fishes and 13 shades of blue for a lifetime of memories! For lunch, a delicious local style barbeque on a motu, with your own private table. You can relax and enjoy your meal with a view on Mount Otemanu! Tonight is our Farewell Dinner Party with a special Surprise for entertainment!
Day 10: Saturday, 11/14: After a leisurely morning- our group will take the catamaran to the airport from our resort for our flight to Papeete, Tahiti. On arrival in Papeete, we will be met by our local guide who will assist our group to our local hotel in Papteete- before our departure for the US in the morning. Some may venture into the city of Papeete for a last "authentic Tahitian meal" or check out the famous Market or food truck area in town- known as "roulettes".... t
Day 11: Sunday, 11/15: After an early breakfast at our hotel near the Papeete Airport- we Depart to PPT Int'l Airport at 6am- as our Air France flight departs for the US at 8:40am.
