Fun Happenings’ Yacht itineraries offer a more intimate and relaxing experience, versus a cruise ship, as we maximize our time in each port and visit places where the mega cruise ships don’t visit. The Adriatic is much different, with more blue turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and less crowded. In addition, the seas are very calm in this protected body of water, with a maximum of 1 foot waves, so perfect for anyone prone to seasickness.

We will spend 4 days (3 Nights) upon arrival enjoying all that Split has to offer. Split is Croatia’s second-largest city and a lively coastal hub on the Adriatic, known for its blend of ancient Roman heritage, seaside atmosphere, and laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle. It feels both historic and lived-in, with locals and visitors sharing the same stone streets, waterfront promenades, and café terraces. Split is known for its relaxed, social vibe, with locals lingering over coffee on the Riva promenade and streets staying lively well into the evening. The city balances museums, galleries, and historical sights with beach bars, nightlife, and a relaxing Mediterranean vibe.
After our 4 amazing days in Split, we begin our adventure on our private chartered yacht departing on Saturday, September 5th for 7 amazing nights. We set sail on a one-way cruise from the Split area to Dubrovnik, exploring some of Croatia’s most captivating destinations. Over 8 incredible days, immerse ourselves in the beauty of islands like Hvar, Vis, Korčula, and the mesmerizing Mljet National Park. We enjoy guided city tours, swim in secluded bays, and indulge in authentic Croatian cuisine. We end our tour in Dubrovnik Croatia, where we spend 2 nights in this charming Medieval city, filled with history and where the famous Television series, "Game of Thrones" was filmed. Dubrovnik feels like stepping into a storybook city that never stopped living. Encircled by towering stone walls and topped with terracotta roofs, the Old Town glows in the Adriatic sunlight, its polished marble streets leading you past fountains, bell towers, and grand old palaces. Cafés spill into the squares, laundry hangs from centuries-old windows, and church bells mark the passing of time in a place that moves at its own, gentle rhythm. Evenings are especially atmospheric, when lanterns light up the alleyways and the sound of clinking glasses and live music drifts through the warm night air.

SAT. SEPT. 5 - DAY 4: SPLIT | TROGIR (Marina Baotić) - Check out of the Radisson Blu Split and enjoy a free day to relax or explore until late afternoon. We will have a Happy Hour mixer in the afternoon with the 1st group of travelers who will be arriving in Split that morning, before transferring to Marina Baotić (Trogir) where the vessel will be docked. We will arrive at the yacht for a dinner onboard and a welcome meet & greet cocktail reception.

SUN. SEPT. 6 - DAY 5: TROGIR (Marina Baotić) – BOL, VIS/KOMIŽA - Early morning departure towards the island of Brač and the town of Bol, best known for Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn), Croatia’s most iconic beach. This natural phenomenon shifts its shape with the wind and waves, making it different every time you see it. Continue to the island of Vis, once a strategic Yugoslav naval base that remained closed to the public for decades. Thanks to that isolation, the island kept its authenticity, often described as “the Mediterranean as it once was.” Today, it’s valued for exactly that. Your overnight stay will be in Vis or Komiža (depending on berth availability). Both towns sit near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban center in Croatia, and each has its own distinct charm. Explore the waterfront, visit the Roman Thermal Baths or the City Museum, or simply enjoy the slow rhythm of island life. In the late afternoon, sample local wines during a tasting at a winery before settling in for the night.

MON. SEPT. 7 - DAY 6: VIS/KOMIŽA – BIŠEVO (Blue Cave), HVAR - Early morning cruise towards the small island Biševo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon (entrance to be paid on the spot). As sometimes weather conditions can be very unpredictable, the possibility of a cave visit will depend on those conditions; however, you will be notified in time. Continue towards the jet-set island of Hvar with lunch on board at the Pakleni Islands. Hvar is the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic, known for lush lavender fields and breathtaking beauty. Arrive in the afternoon for a guided tour of the town’s historical landmarks - the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower, and the oldest community theatre in Europe, founded in 1612. Hike up the zig-zag path to the town fort overlooking the harbour for lovely scenic views of the village and the Pakleni islands. In the evening, Hvar offers a great choice of entertainment - numerous restaurants, bars, and clubs with many open long into the night. Overnight in the port.

TUE. SEPT. 8 - DAY 7: HVAR - KORČULA - Early morning departure towards the island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town surrounded by walls and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean.
The fishbone street pattern was used in Korčula Old Town’s design to provide a natural cooling effect providing citizens with sheltered and comfortable accommodation. Optional excursion to a small village near Korčula for a typical Dalmatian dinner and to find out more about the history and traditional way of living. Overnight in one of the ports of Korčula, depending on availability (main port in the town center/ port of Dominče / ferry port (3 km away).

WED. SEPT. 9 - DAY 8: KORČULA - NP MLJET - The next morning, head further south to the Island of Mljet. The legend says Greek hero Odysseus spent years on this island when he was captured by the nymph Calypso. Join the cruise manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park and enjoy the boat ride to St. Mary Isle to visit an ancient Benedictine monastery, an old abbey and a Church dating back to the 12th Century. Alternatively, rent kayaks, bicycles, scooters or convertible cars to roam around the National Park or island on your own, but beware of the nymphs! Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the island. In the evening, get ready for the Captain’s dinner with live entertainment onboard. Overnight in port Polača or Pomena.

THUR. SEPT. 10 - DAY 9: NP MLJET – SLANO (STON) - Departure towards the small village of Slano on the mainland, a peaceful fishermen's village and the starting point for Ston, another, once fortified village, famous for its oysters. We will have a swim stop along the route. Upon arrival and after exploring the town’s vast medieval ramparts, head for a nearby Mali Ston to learn about oysters and taste this special delicacy. Transfer back to the vessel. Time at leisure and overnight in Slano.

FRI. SEPT. 11 - DAY 10: SLANO (STON) – DUBROVNIK - Early morning departure to Dubrovnik, one of the world's most beautifully preserved medieval cities. Before tied up at the Gruž harbour, enjoy a cruise alongside the old Dubrovnik city walls while lunch is served on deck. After docking, transfer to the old town for the guided walking tour of this magical town. Take the cable car from the Old Town to Srd mountain to enjoy scenic views of the Walls and the Elaphiti Islands. Meander through the narrow streets, exploring the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture or walk on top of the 1940 m long city walls (optional). Overnight in Dubrovnik.

SAT. SEPT. 12 - DAY 11: DUBROVNIK - One last breakfast on board followed by goodbyes with the crew! Check-out by 9.00 am. After Departure, we are greeted by our local guide, to join a morning walking tour of historic Dubrovnik Town. This city is very unique, with its mesmerizing medieval architecture, quaint limestone streets and distinctive terracotta rooftops. After our 2-hour walking tour, we break for free time, to enjoy lunch on our own and explore this beautiful Medieval town. At 3:00pm, we check into our 5-star oceanfront hotel the Sun Garden Dubrovnik and enjoy a free evening and dinner on our own.

# Daily Itinerary for Germany, Austria & Switzerland Tour!

Day 1 - September 28th, Monday - Arrival to Munich, Walking Tour of Old Town, and “Welcome to Bavaria” Beerhall Lunch
Arrival to Munich MUC Airport and transfer by private coach to our hotel in the Munich city center (travel time from airport to hotel approx. 45 min). After a bit of time to freshen up, you’ll embark on a professionally guided 2.5-hour walking tour that will take you to many of Munich’s major landmarks and highlights. You will visit the old city gate and Karlsplatz entering old town, the Frauenkirche, see the world-famous Glockenspiel at Mairenplatz, go past the iconic Hofbräuhaus beerhall (and its role in the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party), the Viktualienmarkt (food market) and much more to check off the main sights on the list of the city's old town and is history .
After working up your appetite with the sights and smells of the market, we’ll enjoy a traditional Bavarian meal at the Augustiner beerhall including a delicious local beer. Free rest of day and evening.

Day 2 - September 29th, Tuesday - Munich and the World Famous Oktoberfest
Today is the day you’ll experience the legendary Oktoberfest and be part of history as 2026 is the 191st year of this world famous celebration and festival!
Following breakfast, we’ll head to the festival grounds of the Theresienwiesse where the Oktoberfest takes place. After a quick walk through the grounds and photo opportunity at the “Willkommen zum Oktoberfest” sign (Welcome to Oktoberfest) you’ll enter the Schottenhammel festival tent and sit at your reserved seat at a table with our group inside positioned with a prime view of the band and all the action. During your afternoon here you’ll enjoy an included lunch with a 1⁄2 Bavarian roasted chicken and 2 LITERS of delicious locally brewed Oktoberfest beer (from the Spaten brewery)! The Schottenhammel tent is one of the oldest and most famous tents of the Oktoberfest and has been family run and serving the Oktoberfest crowds since 1867! Inside this lively tent, you’ll enjoy the incredible atmosphere with live music and surrounded by both locals and tourists from around the world.

*Optional Tour to Join the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial: Following breakfast there will be an optional guided tour of the sobering Dachau concentration camp memorial. The camp lies just northeast of the city center (around 25-30 min travel time), and was the first concentration camp in Nazi Germany, opened in 1933. Originally meant for political prisoners, it became the model for all subsequent concentration camps and held more than 200,000 prisoners during its 12 years of existence with approx. 41,500 were killed here before the liberation by US forces in 1945. You'll see the site and learn its history and atrocities with this fascinating guided tour. Early afternoon arrival back to Munich (trip & tour lasts approx. 4.5-5 hours).

Day 5 - October 2nd, Friday - Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle, Swarovski Crystal World, and Innsbruck, Austria
Today we’ll board our coach to go to our next destination, the Tirolean alpine city of Innsbruck, Austria. As we depart Munich, our group travels south into the stunning Bavarian Alps to see one of the world’s most famous castles, Neuschwanstein, the real life inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland and the home to be of “Mad” King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
Following the guided tour of the castle you’ll have some free time to further explore the beautiful alpine surroundings, including the panoramic view from “Mary’s Bridge” before we continue our transfer to reach Innsbruck.
Just before entering Innsbruck, we’ll have a visit to the Swarovski Crystal World museum to experience the beauty and creativity that go into the world famous creations (approx. 1 hour visit). After the tour and time for some souvenir shopping, we’ll then enter Innsbruck’s old town and check in to the hotel. Free evening in Innsbruck to explore this charming Alpine town on your own.

This morning we’ll meet the local guide who will show us around the "Capital of the Alps", and home to the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics, on a guided walk through Innsbruck's stunning old town, where medieval architecture sits in the shadow of towering alpine peaks of the Nordkette. You’ll discover imperial history on Maria-Theresien-Straße and pass through the Triumphal Arch, marvel at the famous Golden Roof built for Emperor Maximilian I, and admire the colorful Baroque facades and fascinating tales of the Habsburg dynasty and Tyrolean heroes of the past. Free evening and overnight in Innsbruck.

*Optional Afternoon Innsbruck Excursion: Experience the “Top of Innsbruck” - After the walking tour, and break for lunch, take the Nordkette cable car to the top of Innsbruck at nearly 7600 ft. with an incredible view over the city and surrounding Austrian Alps.

Day 7 - October 4th, Sunday - Travel from Innsbruck to Vaduz, Liechtenstein, the Lindt “House of Chocolate” and Lucerne, Switzerland
Today our group will depart from the Austrian Tyrol region for the heart of Switzerland. The trip includes a special visit in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, our 4th bonus country for this Epic Alpine Tour. Vaduz is the tiny sovereign principality nestled between the mountains of Austria & Switzerland, where you'll have several hours of free time to stroll through the charming capital and marvel at the dramatic, high-perched Vaduz Castle, the residence of the reigning prince, and time for lunch. After our stop in Vaduz, and ticking off the world’s “sixth smallest country” off your visited list, we’ll continue the journey entering into Switzerland and making a stop at what could be considered heaven for any chocolate lover, the Lindt “House of Chocolate”.

This is Switzerland’s largest chocolate museum and one of the world’s premier stops for any chocoholic (travel time approx. 1 hour from Vaduz). Here you’ll take a tour of the facilities to gain further insights into the world of cocoa and the production of chocolate. You’ll learn how the cult drink of the Mayans became a luxury drink in Europe, and ultimately chocolate for ordinary people everywhere. In addition to the tasting stations in the exhibition and the tasting of creamy melting LINDOR creations with a Maître Chocolatier, you’ll also have the opportunity to taste ingredients and preliminary products of chocolate production (tour time approx. 90 minutes).
Following your fix of chocolate, and some take away souvenirs, we’ll finish the route with a short drive to our final destination, the lakeside beauty of Lucerne (travel time approx. 1 hour). Free evening to explore the breathtaking beauty of Lucerne on your own.

Day 1 - Sun. Nov. 1 2026: Arrive Auckland NZ / Morning Flight to Queenstown
After our Sunday morning arrival to Queenstown NZ, our group is met by our local South Island guide driver, who will be with us for the duration of the South Island tour. Upon arrival, we drive towards the Otago wine region, located along the scenic Kawarau River to visit the Gibbston Valley Winery for a tour of the winery and wine cave and wine tasting. After our winery stop, we visit the picturesque & historic gold-mining town of Arrowtown, filled with many charming shops, restaurants, cafes & galleries, for free time for exploring and enjoying lunch on your own. After Arrowtown, we transfer to our centrally located Queenstown Hotel, where we stay for 4 nights and this evening, we enjoy a free evening to explore charming Queenstown & enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 2 - Mon. Nov 2 2026: Included Milford Sound Tour to Fjordland National Park
Queenstown NZ is known as the Adventure Capital of the World and offers so many unique adventurous activities. So today, we are including one of the most popular excursions from Queenstown, the Milford Sound coach and boat tour to Fjordland National Park with lunch included. On the return trip from Milford Sound, you have the option of purchasing a Flightseeing plan ride back to Queenstown, eliminating the bus ride back and adding an amazing flightseeing experience! The evening in Queenstown is free at your leisure to explore this charming town and enjoy dinner on your own.

Depart Queenstown early in the morning and travel around Lake Wakatipu in the shadow of the rugged Remarkables Mountain Range. We drive to Te Anau, the Gateway of the Fiordland National Park then follows Lake Te Anau to the valley of the Eglinton River. We pass through the magnificent beech forests before a gradual descent into the precipitous Hollyford Valley. Climb steadily to the gigantic Cirque and the Homer Tunnel. Pass through the tunnel and down to the Cleddau Canyon where you will catch your first glimpse of Mitre Peak before finally emerging into the open at Milford Sound. We embark on an incredible 2-hour boat ride, cruising the full length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea, touching some of the Fjord’s waterfalls dropping into Milford Sound. We will enjoy lunch on board the vessel. Our group will return to Queenstown around 7:00pm or approximately 4:00pm, if you choose the optional Flightseeing flight to Queenstown.

This adventurous day combines the exhilaration of a wilderness jet boat ride with a leisurely downstream float on our easy to paddle and stable inflatable Funyak Kayaks. Your Funyak journey begins with an exhilarating jet boat ride from Glenorchy up the Dart River deep into the heart of the world-renowned Mt Aspiring National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will experience exciting 360-degree spins along the way as you marvel at the untouched beauty of this location, inaccessible by other means. 5:00PM: We depart from Hotel Lobby to take the 1912 Vintage TSS Earnslaw Steamship to Water Peak Farm for our Gourmet BBQ Dinner (included 5-star gourmet BBQ dinner)

Step aboard the TSS Earnslaw and enjoy a 45-minute cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station. On board, the captain of the vessel, provides an interesting commentary as you take in the spectacular views of Cecil and Walter Peaks and the western shores of Lake Wakatipu. The ship’s pianist entertains us as we make our way across the water. The original steam engines can be seen in operation from the open viewing area. On arrival at Walter Peak, enjoy a BBQ dinner, which is cooked on the terrace in front of the Colonel’s Homestead overlooking Lake Wakatipu.

We will take a High-Country Farm Tour where our group learns about and experiences farming life in New Zealand! After our amazing gourmet dinner, we enjoy a walking tour of the farmyard, viewing the farm animals – sheep, red deer and Scottish Highland cattle. One of the highlights, we watch a farmer shearing a sheep (no harm to sheep- just like a haircut), and see first hand how the smart sheep dogs herd the sheep. After the tour there is still time to do some shopping in their gift shop, view a wool spinning demonstration or wander through the beautiful lakeside gardens before re-boarding the TSS Earnslaw and returning to Queenstown.

Day 5 – Thur. Nov. 5, 2026: Depart Queenstown for Franz Josef Glacier
We leave Queenstown this morning and follow the Kawarau Gorge through to Cromwell. A short drive along the Clutha River valley brings you to the picturesque township of Wanaka. We follow the shores of Lakes Hawea and Wanaka to the Makorora River until you cross the divide at the Haast Pass. From here we drive north along the west coast passing through Fox Glacier and then on to Franz Josef. Franz Josef is one of the most picturesque towns in all of New Zealand, as it is surrounded by New Zealand’s Southern Alps…

1.) Guided Lake Mapourika Cruise & Nature Walk [2 1/2 hours]
At 1:00pm, we embark on a journey across the Lake and into the sheltered bays of the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary. Enjoy the views and wildlife from the boat before you explore our exclusive guided walk through our rainforest trail into the Kiwi Sanctuary! The rainforest trail is designed to take you on a walk through another time, Jurassic rainforest, abundant bird life and home to the rarest Kiwi on the planet – the Rowi! Your guide will point out the birds and tell you all about the flora, fauna and kiwi conservation in the region. You may even get to try some edible native plants or take a flax flower home as a gift.

We Paddle into the heart of the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary, exploring the protected area with our knowledgeable guide. Our Paddle also includes admission to the Franz Josef Hot Pools located in the heart of Franz Josef township on Cron Street. The pools are open from 1.00pm to 8.45pm each evening (last entry 8.00pm). Day 7 - Sat. Nov. 7, 2026: Travel Franz Josef to Greymouth, then we take THE Famous TranzAlpine Train to Christchurch
We depart Franz Josef and travel through dense bush with scattered milling and farming settlements. For many miles there are particularly beautiful stretches of road to be seen - note especially the reflections in the lakes. The country begins to open out as Hokitika is approached. From here to Greymouth, pass through farming districts and extensive areas which have been worked over for alluvial gold by panning, sluicing and dredging. Upon arrival in Christchurch, we are met by our Guide Driver and transferred to our Hotel. The evening is free to explore charming Christchurch at your leisure and enjoy dinner on your own.

9.00AM: This morning our group enjoys a tour of Christchurch by private coach. We discover why Christchurch is known as the 'Garden City'. We will enjoy the charm of the award-winning gardens and the tranquility of the historic buildings which blend gracefully with the modern. We visit the Canterbury Museum, Hagely Park & the Christchurch Botanic Gardens through which the Avon River flows. Then at 2:00pm, our group will enjoy a leisurely relaxing boat ride on the Avon River. We arrive back at the hotel at midday, where we have the rest of afternoon at leisure to explore Christchurch on our own until our group dinner tonight.

Day 9 - Mon. Nov. 9, 2026: Depart Christchurch for Rotorua by Air NZ flight

• Upon arrival in Rotorua, we are met by our Northern Island Driver Guide for a city tour of Rotorua, visiting the Government Gardens, Kuirau Park, Ohinemutu Village and lake front. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this thermal wonderland town or explore on your own.
• We highly recommend visiting the Polynesian Spa– Deluxe Lake Spa Hot Springs (entrance cost is approximately $48 USD to enter for several hours). Reservations are necessary. Day 10 – Tue. Nov. 10, 2026: Hobbiton Movie Set Visit, Free afternoon, Early Evening Te Puia Thermal Reserve, Evening Hangi Maori Dinner Experience
This morning, we experience the real Middle-earth with a visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set, the bucolic setting for The Shire that featured in the Peter Jackson directed films, The Lord of the Rings and the 'Hobbit' Trilogy. Your tour starts with a drive through the picturesque 1,250-acre sheep farm with spectacular views across the Kaimai Ranges. Your guide will escort you through the ten-acre site recounting fascinating details of how the Hobbiton set was created. The Hobbit holes, Green Dragon Inn, Mill and other structures created for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films can be viewed and you will see how this beautiful piece of Waikato farmland was transformed into The Shire from Middle earth. After our morning tour… The afternoon is free at your leisure in Rotorua.

4:15pm: Transfer by coach to Te Puia Thermal Reserve for Guided Tour & Unique Dinner Experience
Our group will enjoy a guided walk through the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve by a Maori guide. Stop at points of interest such as bubbling mud pools, mineral springs, silica formations and shooting geysers. Visit the Kiwi House with the opportunity to see the nocturnal Kiwi, New Zealand's national bird. See the model village and explore the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute which provides insight into Maori carving, customs and history.

After this we experience the Te Po – Māori concert and Hangi dinner will begin! The welcome ceremony commences with the blowing of a pukaea or putaratara (carved wooden trumpet or conch shell) by the kaimatire (lookout guard) posted in the puhara (defense tower). A toa (warrior) from the home tribe is sent out to challenge the elected male chief of the manuhiri (visitors) in an attempt to ascertain the reason for the visitors' approach to the village and whether they come in friendliness or animosity.

A Maori chief officially welcomes guests and simple encounter rituals are performed for our group. We view the hangi meal being lifted from the earth oven and enjoy the feast of cultural storytelling, entertainment and Maori Kai indigenous food. Tonight’s dinner is a unique experience immersing ourselves in the Māori culture.

Day 11 - Wed Nov. 11, 2026: Depart for Waitomo Glowworm Caves, then Auckland
Depart Rotorua and travel by coach across bush-clad ranges through pasturelands to Waitomo for the Waitomo Glowworm Caves Guided Tour.

The Waitomo glowworm, Arachnocampa luminosa, is unique to New Zealand. Thousands of these tiny creatures radiate their unmistakable luminescent light as our expert guides provide informative commentary on the Caves' historical and geological significance. Over the 45-minute guided tour, take in the spectacular Glowworm Cave with its majestic and ornate cave decorations, the deep limestone shaft known as the Tomo and the equally magnificent Cathedral cavern where New Zealand’s own opera diva Kiri Te Kanawa once performed. The guide will deliver an informative and entertaining commentary, sharing stories, cultural legends and the natural wonders of this living masterpiece. Conclude the visit with a brief, yet remarkably moving, boat trip through the Glowworm Grotto.

Today, we are going to Experience exploring Waiheke Island, with lunch and wine tastings at an acclaimed winery on Waiheke Island.

Board your ferry and enjoy a pleasant cruise through the Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island. Combine your visit to Waiheke Island with some of the best food and wine experiences Waiheke Island offers. You'll enjoy a day of tastings at 3 vineyards and an olive grove, plus have the chance to indulge in locally produced foods such as mouth-watering preserves and world class olive oils.
