π HELLO AND WELCOME TO MOVIE ROADHOUSE LONDON THE LARGEST MOVIE CLUB IN LONDON MADE BY MOVIE FANS FOR MOVIE FANS.
In a nutshell, we are just a bunch of Film Buffs, Filmmakers and Creators who like to go out for drinks and watch movies. We also rate and review the films after we watch them and the results are posted on our **Letterboxd **Page.
We are also avid supporters of Independent Cinema, The Film Festival Guild, Medicinema and establishments like Prince Charles Cinema and the British Film Institute to mention a few. Thanks to this we sometimes gain special access and discounts to special events that we can then share with you. Plus we meet up regularly for a social to catch up again at the BFI which is a lot of fun.
We try to stay well informed when it comes to film news, New Releases and Re-Releases and members are also able to vote for what films they want to see through our WhatsApp Group (at request), WhatsApp Channel, Telegram Group (at request) and Telegram Channel.
Whatever the time of year we do our best to always be around, come and join us for a good time.

π THEY TOLD US BUT WE NEVER LISTENED
We've been warned by some of the greatest science-fiction films of all time including 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1984, Robocop, The Matrix, They Live, The Terminator and checkout Dave Cullen's scary review on Metropolis. They all tried to warn us but why didnβt we listen?Hey guys π I guess itβs because weβve been like good little frogs happily swimming in the slow boiling water. Needless to say that these two sci-fi dystopian films also attempted to say something that I now fear is very much a reality. A reality of wealth, inequality, industrialisation, and the struggle that we will have to endure in an enforced, dehumanising, ultramodern society and the dangers of unchecked technology. A civilisation divided between classes where the oppressed are ruled by authoritarian apatheists whose sole purpose is to infiltrate and create disparity between the authentic and the natural.
Now, Iβm no expert on dystopian nightmares nor am I a futurist foresighter. But I do believe in my God given gut which the powers that be try to discredit. So anyway, these movies by Ridley Scott and Denis Villeneuve are based on the science fiction novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick, who I think clearly knew something that most of us refuse to believe. Both these movies and the book explore philosophical themes deeply interpretive in nature and reflect on the high-tech vision in which consumerism, corporatism, and a lack of human empathy have become the foundation of our society.
So ,here are some questions for you guys. Is humanity creating the mechanised fulfilment of his worst nightmares? Will that thing that he has created have a soul and conscience or will it serve its own interests? And is there anything we can do about it now? Something to think about. Here's the plan for tonight:
- 5:15 PM: We meet for drinks at the Prince Charles Cinema Bar. You will find me with a meetup sign.
- 5:45 PM: We move to Screen 1 where we have selected seat A8 & A9, but feel free to choose your preferred location**.** There will be a 10 minute break between for Performances.
- 11:00 PM We briefly reconvene at the bar to score the film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- Don't forget our WhatsApp Group & Telegram Group are available on request. Or alternatively you can join non invasive WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel.

π£ YOUR LIFE WILL ALWAYS MATTER MORE...
While his love for his friends may be his greatest weakness, it is also his greatest strength.Hey guys π I have to say that I absolutely loved the previous instalment. I haven't been on the edge for a very long time. And I think it's because we are finding it harder to engage in movies today. For this reason I totally get why they needed Tom Cruise to save Hollywood. He's a proper action pro who's not afraid to jump from heights. So this is movie will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie who has pretty much been in-charge since Rogue Nation. And who also recently, directed Top Gun Maverick. I heard that part of the plan is to keep most of this movie's details concealed, just like a good mission should be .
I'm glad that the wait is now over and I'm looking forward to being bombarded with explosions with you guys. Check out the schedule below:
- 6:00 PM: We will meet at the Cineworld Empire Confectionary Bar (far end side). There will be quite a few of us, so I apologise in advance if there is limited seating. Look out for The Meet-Up Sign.
- 7:10 PM: Then we're off to IMAX Screen 8. We have chosen seats E43 & E44.
- 11:10 PM: We briefly reconvene to Review & Score the Film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- Also don't forget that our WhatsApp Group & Telegram Group are available on request. Or alternatively you can also join our WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel.
