What we're about

It's that time of year where we connect to you and listen to your experiences. Filling out the Befriend Annual Survey helps us understand the impact of all our work - Hosts, community members and staff members - so we can keep doing the stuff that matters and try new things too!

Look out for the paper survey at events happening 1st June - 15th June or take 5 mins to fill it in online here 👉 Befriend Survey 2023

Welcome to the Befriend community! This is where you'll find invitations from every day folk all over Perth who are hoping you'd like to join them in doing something fun! All groups and gatherings are initiated and run by local residents, guided by the Befriend values of inclusion, fun, authenticity, curiosity and sustainability.

Befriend is just the platform to connect, you all are the real superstars here! At a Befriend community group you can expect to find people who will greet you with a friendly face and a warm welcome.

Like Harry and Amy. They host their own Dungeons and Dragons group sometimes. Check out the video to discover why they do what they do.

"After nourishment, shelter, and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world." - Philip Pullman

About Traditional Storytelling
Traditional storytellers believe mythical tales, legends, folk and fairy tales have a remarkable relevance to our current times. Their themes and messages resonate with wisdom, meaning, insight and humour. When we hear an ancient story, it often stirs a deep sense of familiarity or homecoming in the listener.
