We are excited to announce our first 2018 kubernetes London Meetup!

Now, let's move on to our awesome speakers. We will kick off the night with Syed Humza who will be talking about Deliveroo's kubernetes journey into the world of statistical models. Then we will follow up with with a talk by Paris Apostolopoulos from TicketMaster, who will discuss the succesful adoption of kubernetes at TicketMaster International.
Finally, we'll cap-up the night with a talk from Ricardo Amaro @Deepmind who will be talking about how to keep your ship together with kapitan – https://github.com/deepmind/kapitan.

This promises to be an intriguing talk as kubernetes is garnering more interest in the data science community.

19:30 Paris Apostolopoulos, "Kubernetes + Developers = Love @ Ticketmaster" Paris will be revealing the kubernetes success formula at Ticketmaster, a very befitting talk for this valentine season :)

20:00 Ricardo Amaro, "Kapitan: keep your ship together"
Ricardo will be talking about kapitan. Kapitan is a tool developed internally at DeepMind born to manage all aspects of deployments to kubernetes, from manifests to documentation and scripts. It maintains a global inventory of all your deployments data, and uses jsonnet and jinja.

Speaker Bios:

Syed Humza Shah

Syed Humza Shah is presently a senior software engineer at Deliveroo. He has worked with a number of teams, with most of his work being alongside data scientists to improve driver dispatch algorithms and to productionise various statistical models. He led Deliveroo's redesign of their statistical model training, which went into production in early January 2018.

Paris Apostolopoulos

Paris Apostolopoulos is the Lead Software Engineer (Consolidated Consumer Platform), Ticketmaster International, London.
He builds and designs simple web API's and integration systems that power the new React-ive web applications of Ticketmaster International. He deploys and scales them in Kubernetes on top of AWS, while monitoring them using Prometheus Grafana & Elastic Search.

Ricardo Amaro

(https://twitter.com/ramaro) is a Software Engineer in the DevOps team at DeepMind. He enjoys automation, container technologies and hacking Kapitan.
