Docker Best Practices to get Zenko out in the open source world - When Scality decided to create Zenko, its free open source multi-cloud data controller, its Docker experience was close to nil. Now, 3 years and close to 2 million pulls on DockerHub later, Benjamin is happy to share Scality’s best practices to create a successful project. Benjamin will cover the following topics; Dockerfile best practices: limiting the number of layers, entrypoints and commands best practices, smart variabilization - Docker Swarm to Kubernetes: an open source and enterprise journey, with a live demo of their current stack using minikube. - Joost de Geus – Director of Solution Architecture at CloudHealth Technologies EMEA, Amsterdam – Joost has a background in Aviation Engineering, has been in Solutions Architecture for years and is an avid rower. Container Governance Services - Infrastructure cost allocation based on container resource utilization. Traditional Tag based show back and charge back in organisations don't work in the cloudbased container environment. As a result, the cloud providers only report on infrastructure cost and no individual container costs. The challenge is maintaining visibility and governance in this dynamic environment. This is critical for making informed strategic decisions, allocating costs, and driving accountability. Joost will explain how they’ve tackled this problem. CloudHealth gives you visibility in resource consumption by service, control and forecast spend and evaluate the mix of resources utilisation. - Stepan Stipl – Cloud Architect and Engineer - Stepan helps companies build and run scalable infrastructure platforms with focus on containers, Kubernetes and everything around. Malicious images in the Docker Hub - Presents you don’t want - What is Docker Hub not telling you? Docker recently pulled at least 17 malicious images out of Docker Hub repository. These images have been downloaded more than five million times and attackers were able to mine over $90,000 in crypto. In this talk Stepan will explain how this has been done, what are the dangers of using images from public repositories like Docker Hub and what should you be aware of. - Sponsors! Katacoda - Learn Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud Native applications using free interactive labs directly in your browser! Tecknuovo - DevOps recruitment business. What we're about

Learn, Collaborate & Dockerize! Meet other developers and ops engineers in your community that are using and learning about Docker. Docker is an open platform that helps you build, ship and run applications anytime and anywhere. Developers use Docker to modify code and to streamline application development, while operations gain support to quickly and flexibly respond to their changing needs. Docker ensures agility, portability and control for all your distributed apps.

Docker is also the main sponsor of the Moby Project, an open framework to assemble specialized container systems without reinventing the wheel. More information available at
