Project Speak or Project Talk

Details
Welcome, 2020 :)
This year, let's start a debate surrounding the jargon (or terminology) that are used in today's Project Management world.
Language is a uniquely human gift that differentiates humans from other primates. Although its primary aim is to allow us to have a shared understanding and communication with others, the language we use influences thought processes, feelings, emotions, and ultimately affects the culture that surrounds us.
Since the 1980s, the project management language that we use derived from such publications and exams such as PRINCE2 and PMI, yet have we ever stopped to sit back and understand if the words that we use are the most appropriate for the way we operate today?
This asks the question, 'Is Project Management terminology fit for today's Project Management world?'
The PMO holds a pivotal role in defining Project Management. In this interactive session, Ralf Finchett (https://www.linkedin.com/in/finchett/), PMO Sydney Meet up Feb speaker, will help facilitate a session exploring the impact of the words we use. So whether you be into global warming or climate change, doing reports or giving updates, or delivering in stages or sprints, this fun session is guaranteed to mess with your mind and change the words you'll be using back at work.
Session timeline:
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM : Networking, Pizza and drink
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM : The Main session
7:00 PM- 7:30 PM: closure, Q&A and Networking :)
Join us to start the 2020 PMO Sydney Meet up series.
