What we're about

ProductTank provides an opportunity for product managers across Yorkshire to exchange ideas and experiences about product design, development and management, business modelling, metrics, user experience and all the other things that get us excited. We currently hold regular meetups in Sheffield and Leeds.

Events include talks from guest speakers on topics around product management, networking opportunities, and a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a beer or two.

We also have a blog and encourage the community to get engaged by commenting on or writing new posts for http://www.mindtheproduct.com

Product Tank Leeds: Save the Date!

6 Wellington Pl

Please join us and fellow product tankers for an evening of knowledge sharing and chatting about all things product. This is our first event for 2020, and we have confirmed three great talks, from four industry experts, to share practical tips and learnings from their experiences. The event will be held at 6 Wellington Place, Leeds, LS14AP (Sky Bet - 2nd Floor). The office is a 6-8min walk from Leeds Station, just let reception know you’re here for Product Tank and they’ll send you up to sign in at the Sky Bet desk. We will be kicking off at 18:30 with some drinks, food and time to chat then settle in for three talks starting at 19:00. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on their bios and talk details coming soon: *19:00-19:25 Jarryd Addinall - Product Principle @ AND Digital, also an experienced product manager, dad, husband, singer-songwriter and aspiring health coach who's talking to us about: 'Kidding Around - What I learnt from product failure' *19:30-19:55 Anna Broadhurst, Principal Consultant @ Infinity Works and Polly Price, Agile Product Owner @Hitatchi talking about: 'Lean Development: A case study into the design and development of one of Hitachi’s core services.' This talk dives into rethinking the way that large services are replaced by building from ground up iterations. Adopting a lean mind set to accelerate delivery using cloud technologies and building in the ability to flex on scope and design based on feedback. This is a real user-centred, lean approach to building large complex solutions which can then be taken out into market. *20:00-20:25 Dave Martin - Product Innovation Coach & Founder @ Right to Left Consulting answering the questions: 'Do your product and feature releases achieve the desired results?' and 'How do you, as a product professional, create sustainable growth?' Dave coaches product teams to put the customer at the heart of decision making to level up innovation and create sustainable growth. He believes strongly in outcomes over outputs and empowered cultures. He helps senior leadership set teams up for success. With nearly 2 decades in product development he has practiced a lean experimental approach leading projects for Google, CompareTheMarket, Bauer Media, SkyBet, PepsiCo, and many more. Dave has c-suite experience as CPO for education leaders Tes Global and various startups. Dave is the founder of www.righttoleft.co.uk, providing product training and coaching to product teams all over the world.
