WALK START from Central, onward to Belmore Park, we walk through Harmony Park then past the "Pool of Reflection" we get to the Anzac Memorial at Hyde Park.
Sneak through the back of Saint Mary's Cathedral then suddenly ahead is the bronze statue of Robert Burn, regarded as the national poet of Scotland.
Secret Pathways to "The Big Matchsticks" sculpture in Woolloomooloo. 'Yes" we can touch them! Not far away is the New South Wales Police Force Wall of Remembrance. The names on the wall represent 350 policemen and policewomen in NSW who died on duty since 1850's. Quick 2 minute visit and rehydrate.
The Botanical Gardens and Government House, Garden Amphitheatre behind Sydney's Conservatorium of Music to the Calyx, exhibiting floral displays. From here we zig zag through hidden gardens, past the Sydney Fernery to Palm House!
ARRIVAL at CIRCULAR QUAY BASTILLE PARTY just in time to celebrate with the crowds and maybe find a lunch spot.
Meeting Point: Central Station's "Transport Information Big Board" near Platform 3.
Distance: 8km (about 2 hours)
Difficulty: Very Easy. 2 hour walk, exit spots. Paths Walk, Parks Walk! Easy Walk!
Walking Pace: An easy steady pace at 4km-4.25km per hour.
What to Bring: Comfortable outfit, good walking shoes, one litre water, snacks, hat, sunscreen, a raincoat just in case. Bring your happy personality too!
