Welcome to Try New Things in Toronto, a group with over 17,000 members where you get to meet new friends from all over the world, try out new cuisines and have fun trying new, fun hobbies too! Whether you're a newcomer, a college/university student, starting a new life in Toronto or looking for something to do after the 9-5 grind, TorontoTNT is for all adults of all ages.
Some of the variety of events we've already tried include: Canoeing around the Toronto Islands, Wine tasting, Comedy Shows, Karaoke, Paintballing, Board game bonanza at Snakes & Lattes , Exploring the Scarborough Bluffs, Picnicking at Christie Pits, Medieval Times, Bowling, Discovering Ontario Place , Winterlicious restaurant on top of the world , Movie+dinner night at heart of downtown, Volleyball+BBQ at Woodbine Beach, Costume Parties, Mystery Room, Archery Tag, Soft Ball, Movie Nights, Game Nights, Bowling, Pool, Comedy Shows, Improv, The Dating Game and Trying new ethnic cuisines.
The best part about TorontoTNT is that you LEARN SOMETHING NEW with each Meetup. Whether it's learning how to cook a simple dish or learning some basic phrases in a different language, you'll get something from participating in our Meetups. Niagara Falls Hiking, Butterfly Conservatory: Join us for a full day at Niagara Falls. We will be doing more of the nature part of the area and less about the tourist stuff.
We will first meet together in the morning at the Fairmont Royal York, take the Go Train, we will transfer to the Wego over to Niagara Glen Nature Centre where we will start our hiking. You must be able to keep up with the group, go up and down three flights of stairs. We will visit the whirlpool and have a break. Head back to the centre and walk over to the Butterfly Conservator ($20). After we will take the bus over to Clifton Hill for dinner at Chucks Roadhouse. After we will walk around head over to the falls and catch the bus back to Go train.

Meetup Spot: Will be outside main doors on Front St W to the Fairmont Royal York and I will be wearing my Moose Hat.
This will be a fun one and a great way to up your daily step count. Most people know the Niagara Falls but were you aware of the lovely trails down by the river? We'll be exploring those today and more. Better still, trip there is cheap with a round-trip for just $20 for the COMBO FOR WEGO AND THE GO !PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST GET THE GO AND WEGO COMBO.....CLICK HERE!
Only sign up if you are able to hike/walk on marked trails with varied terrain. There will be a lot of walking on this trip so plan accordingly. There will be a considerable amount of walking on this trip. Walk from train station to hike start point. Walk down in hiking trail. Then walking over to Falls and touristy area. Keep that in mind before you sign up.
Bring good hiking boots/shoes. Stuff to drink, important to stay hydrated. Weather appropriate clothing. Snacks if you want. Camera or charged up cellphone /battery pack for pictures.Schedule:
8:15AM - meet outside Fairmont Royal York, don't be late...We will wait till 8:45pm
9:03AM - GO train departs to Niagara Falls
11:25AM - GO train arrives at Niagara Falls
12:30PM - enter trail system to Niagara Glen . Hike to trail entry point is about 4.5KM from the train station
3:30PM - Butterfly Conservatory - We will walk about 20mins to the area.Discover some of nature’s most beautiful and mysterious creations at the Niagara Glen. Located deep in the Niagara Gorge, stairways lead to four kilometres (2.5 miles) of rugged hiking paths that wind through this pristine pocket of Carolinian Forest, past prehistoric geological formations, wild flora and fauna. The Niagara Glen overlooks the rapid waters of the Niagara River and the natural phenomenon that is the Niagara River Whirlpool.
After that we can take the bus over Clifton Hill to walk to Chucks Roadhouse.
Food: At some point we will be having a group meal at Chucks Roadhouse. This is our favourite place to have dinner at as it's one of the most inexpensive places to eat. Members love this place.

Return trip:
two options here, you can take the 4:04PM train back to Toronto (you will not be able to join us for dinner) .Alternatively you stay longer to explore, gamble, karaoke, etc and grab the 9:04PM train back to Toronto.
THIS GROUP IS OPEN TO THOSE THAT WANT TO BE SOCIAL, MAKE FRIENDS, THAT ARE SINGLE OR NOT SINGLE. WE ALSO HAVE LOTS OF OTHER EVENTS LIKE, MOVIES, WALKS, HIKES, ARTS & CULTURE AND RESTAURANTS.
REMEMBER YOU CAN JUST SHOW UP OR JUST SHOW UP ON THE DAY OF IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU CAN MAKE IT.
