Is AI and Technology Helping Us Live- or Replacing Living? (Meaningful Events)
·OnlineOnlineHello everyone,
ㅤ
*Joined by my other groups too :)
ㅤ
*We prefer that you turn your cameras on so we can feel more connected with each other.
ㅤ
Event Details:
ㅤ
Is AI and Technology Helping Us Live—or Replacing Living?
ㅤ
AI and technology are changing our lives at an extraordinary pace. They can save us time, expand our creativity, connect us with the world and make things possible that would have seemed unimaginable only a few years ago.
ㅤ
But there is another question worth asking:
ㅤ
Are these technologies helping us live more fully—or are they gradually replacing some of the very experiences that make us feel alive?
ㅤ
Join us on Zoom for an open, thoughtful and friendly conversation about how we can embrace AI and modern technology while remaining free, healthy, creative, connected, joyful and engaged with the real world.
ㅤ
This isn't an anti-technology discussion. It's about finding a healthy relationship with technology—using it to expand our lives rather than allowing it to quietly take them over.
ㅤ
Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts and experiences. You don't need to know anything about AI or technology to participate.
ㅤ
More details below.
ㅤ
Sincerely,
ㅤ
Steve Flemming

Is AI and Technology Helping Us Live—or Replacing Living?
ㅤ
🕗 8:15 PM – 9:30 PM
💻 Online via Zoom
ㅤ
Highlights of Our Talk
ㅤ
• How can we enjoy the incredible benefits of AI and technology without becoming overly dependent on them or allowing convenience to make us passive?
ㅤ
• How do we protect real-world friendships, human connection, physical activity and time away from screens in an increasingly digital world?
ㅤ
• Why might silence, boredom, reflection and doing difficult things ourselves still be essential for creativity, independence and peace of mind?
ㅤ
• As technology gives us more convenience and more free time, how do we make sure we're using that freedom to create, love, connect, explore and actually live?
ㅤ
This will be a conversation rather than a lecture. Bring your experiences, questions, concerns, optimism and different points of view.
ㅤ
Perhaps the most useful question we can take away from the evening is one we can ask ourselves whenever a new technology enters our lives:
ㅤ
“Is this helping me live—or replacing living?”
ㅤ
Come join us, meet some new people and be part of the conversation.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Arrival Time:
ㅤ
Please join us on time at 8:15 PM if you can.

The trail is the reason we get outside.
The adventure is the reason we go somewhere different.
But the people are the reason we keep coming back.
Come for the waterfront.
Stay for the adventure.
