FREE New Years Eve Celebration+food+Fireworks-Yagan Square and Elizabeth Quay

Let's welcome 2026 with a bang and enjoy the fireworks, food and celebrations around the city on new years eve.

When: Wednesday, 31 December 2025

Meet-up Spot: Elizabeth Quay (we'll gather near the bell tower 6pm onwards- I will post a picture/comment - DM me if lost)
Who's Invited: Everyone! Friends, families, couples – the more the merrier for this free, epic community celebration.

The Plan – Double the Fireworks, Double the Fun:

Kick off the evening at Elizabeth Quay, where the Swan River foreshore transforms into a vibrant carnival wonderland from 5pm! Dive into the action with:

• Live DJs spinning tunes on a floating stage
• Mesmerising roving performers, aerial cabaret shows, and circus games
• Free carnival rides in the Lotterywest Family Fun Zone (dodgem cars, rollercoasters, and more!)
• LED hula-hoop and circus workshops, face painting, glitter stations, and sideshow alley games
• Heaps of delicious food trucks slinging everything from fairy floss and hot donuts to dumplings, BBQ, crepes, and international street eats

Grab some bites and drinks, soak up the buzzing atmosphere, and get prime spots for the family fireworks explosion at 8:30pm – a stunning display lighting up the skyline over the water! Perfect for an early "wow" moment.

Then, around 9-10pm, we'll stroll or catch a quick train over to Yagan Square (just a short hop away) to crank up the energy! At Yagan Square, the party goes next level from 7:30pm to midnight:

• Hosted by the fabulous Famous Sharron – expect hilarious air guitar showdowns, glow stick dance-offs, lip sync battles, and dress-up challenges with instant prizes!
• Perth's hottest DJs dropping beats to keep you dancing all night
• Jaw-dropping roaming performers on skates, stilts, and foot – lighting up the square with sparkle and surprises
• The massive Digital Tower countdown, plus a magical confetti dome release at midnight filled with everyone's hopes and dreams for 2026

Culminate the night with the midnight fireworks cascading over the city – visible from Yagan Square's prime vantage point – as we toast to new beginnings with laughs, dances, and pure joy
