What we’re about
This Agile in Leeds space on meetup sat without an owner for many months. It seemed a shame that the hard work of past organisers and all the support of past speakers and attendees might be abandoned so (at least for the time being) it made sense for Agile in Leeds to become part of the long running Agile Yorkshire community of practice and try to merge the two groups together. Both group have many of the same members already.
The events published here will be same events published on the agileyorkshire.org website until we decide how best to move things forward.
For the time being we look forward to see you at our next meetup.

Agile Yorkshire is on the road again, and we are delighted to be returning to Sheffield Hallam University in partnership with BCS South Yorkshire. Join us for an evening of learning, collaboration, and community building with agile practitioners from across the region.
This special event will feature two inspiring talks:🎤 Fred Pernet
Execution Eats Strategy For Breakfast … unless You Measure It
Fred will explore why so many strategies fail, not because they are wrong but because they are not executed well. He will introduce the SEM360 maturity benchmarking tool, showing how leaders and teams can better connect strategy with delivery for lasting results.🎤 Tom Hoyland
What Happens in There…
Tom will share practical tools and methods, including facilitation techniques and clean language, to help teams reduce friction and create the conditions for focus, creativity, and innovation. His interactive talk will shine a light on the human side of agile ways of working.
Alongside the talks, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet and connect with other professionals, exchange ideas, and strengthen the agile community across Yorkshire.

Agile isn't just about stand-ups and ceremonies—so what does it really mean for developers? Stuart will explore the practical day-to-day working practices and mindset shifts that developers need to embrace in order to succeed in agile environments. With over 30 years of experience across sectors including e-commerce, government, and big data, Stuart brings a wealth of insight into what truly makes agile work at the developer level.🎙 Mike Burrows
Talk: Introducing the Deliberately Adaptive Organisation
Mike introduces a fresh and complexity-aware model for organisational design, based on his latest book Wholehearted.
