Welcome to 2023! May this be a year without lockdowns and full of in-person meetups! We're also back on our usual last Wednesday of the month and hope you'll join us despite the public holiday on the next day.

To start the new year, we're doing a repeat of the panel discussion we had last year about re:Invent. So, no regular talks, but instead, we'll have a fun panel of experts who will be answering our questions about the event and all of the announcements.

As a reminder, we will start with the food and socialising at 6 pm but the actual contents of the meetup (and live stream) will begin at 6:30.

And as usual, I'd like to point out that if you are attending online only, please do not RSVP, as we use the RSVPs for catering purposes.

For the evening itself, after we've eaten and socialised, we'll have a quick news update that will mostly focus on what came out after re:Invent so as not to steal thunder from the panel. The panel is next and will be the main event of the evening. And, of course, we'll finish the night with our Who's hiring segment.

Also a reminder that we've restarted our podcast with a long discussion about re:Invent. You can find it in a podcast player of choice or online at melb.awsug.org.au/podcast or our YouTube channel (where you can also find all previous recordings).

Our thanks to CMD Solutions (cmdsolutions.com.au) for their continued sponsorship.

See below for the full agenda. The event will be streamed on YouTube as always: https://melb.awsug.org.au/live

We are always looking for speakers and believe everyone has an interesting talk hiding inside themselves. If you are interested in letting that talk out at a future event you can get in touch at the meetup, on the website https://melb.awsug.org.au/speak/, or reach out to @arjen or @bok on our Slack.
