Melbourne AWS User Group #164 - October 2026

🎉 Melbourne AWS User Group – October Meetup #164 🎉

📅 Wednesday, 28 October
📍 NAB Events Hub – 395 Bourke Street, Melbourne
⏰ Food at 6:00 pm, talks from 6:30 pm (with live stream)

We’re doing something a little different for our October meetup.

Instead of our usual technical presentations, we’re bringing together two AWS Heroes, Stephen Sennett and Michael Walmsley, for a fireside chat.

No slides. No demos. Just a conversation.

We’ll be talking about AWS Community Day Australia, the AWS community, and AI across AWS — what’s happening now, what’s interesting, and where things might be heading.

A huge thank you to our sponsors: 🥇 Mantel Group – Gold Sponsor, 🥈 Cevo – Silver Sponsor, 🏛 NAB – Venue Sponsor

The event will be live-streamed on YouTube as always:

AWS Heroes
Melbourne is blessed with two AWSome AWS Heroes in Michael and Stephen. Not only will we hear about how AWS Community Day Australia went, but they’re both a wealth of knowledge when it comes to what AWS is doing with AI.
This will be a fireside chat, so hold onto your seats - because who knows where this will go!
