6-7 miles. Meet at 10:00 a.m. in the paved parking lot at Rushton Woods Preserve, 911 Delchester Road, Newtown Square (39.98283, -75.48676). From Route 3, traveling west, turn right into Delchester Road and follow it almost to where it comes to a T at Goshen Road. The first turnoff into the Preserve is the paved lot. Okehocking and Rushton Woods Preserves provide moderate hiking in a beautiful, varied farmland setting. We will hike 2-3 miles in Rushton Woods, walk along an easement for just over one mile to Okehocking Preserve and hike another 4 miles before returning to Rushton Woods. BATONA Hiking Club is more than a Meetup group. In existence since 1928, the Club welcomes a diverse group of people. Hike trails in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. Opportunities for hike leadership and skill development are available. The Club also maintains sections of the Appalachian Trail, the Batona Trail, and the Horse-Shoe Trail.
