About the Group
We’re a laid-back sewing group in Merriwa. Everyone brings their own projects, and we help each other out when needed. All skill levels are welcome-whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or you’re a seasoned stitcher. Just bring your own gear and fabric.
About Your Host
Hey, I’m Demi. I got into sewing about four years ago after my first bub was born-I wanted to make her some cute little outfits. I’m not a pro, but I love trying new patterns and figuring out how things go together. If you don’t have a machine yet, no stress-you can share mine to give sewing a go. I’m happy to get beginners started with easy makes like tote bags, scrunchies, or ties-just bring your fabric (and elastic for scrunchies).
What to Expect
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Bring your machine, set up, and work on your pieces at your own pace. Feel free to ask anyone for help if you get stuck. We start packing up around 8:00 pm and finish by 8:30 pm.
