Ormeau Embankment

Grade: Leisurely

Join us for a peaceful river walk along the River Lagan starting at Ormeau Embankment. This will be a leisurely walk with no big hills so will suit anyone with average fitness. Length will be about 4 miles.

The Ormeau Embankment is situated in South Belfast and acts as a getaway from the city centre or equally as an entrance to the bustling citadel of Belfast. We can either walk towards Belfast along the Ormeau Embankment or go the opposite direction along the Lagan Towpath, either are a good choice for a leisurely walk.

We'll meet at the far end of the Dunnes Stores car park. After the walk, we can go to the nearby Nata Portuguese Coffee House for the best home-made Pastel de Nata (Portuguese custard tarts) outside of Lisbon! https://maps.app.goo.gl/ajFjBToLjCw5TyYb6
