The Delaware Drum and Dance Hafla is 1st Sundays again in 2026
and the Newark Arts Alliance has moved to
Shoppes at Louviers in Newark, DE

Open to the public, donations always appreciated ($5 suggested donation)

For 2026 we will be hosting something dance related at the Newark Arts Alliance on 1st Sundays. Jan - Nov there will definitely be live performances, with options for prerecorded or live remote performances. We will set up a Zoom from the Newark Arts Alliance to audience can watch remotely.

Drum and Dance Hafla events usually feature a 3 - 6 performances, demos, or presentations (costumes, technology, history, etc): some from professional restaurant dancers and some from students of bellydance, but all have experience. Both traditional Middle Eastern styles as well as Tribal, Tribal Fusion, and Cabaret Fusion will be performed. Sometime we also have live music performances. Performances by other dance forms and musicians also welcome.
