Join us on August 15th for a captivating evening celebrating the work of Julia Hester, our 2025 NOVA Artist in Residence. Blending animation and film, Julia’s project uplifts community voices through intimate interviews exploring the richness and complexity of Black image.

The evening includes a screening of her work, a talkback with the artist, interactive art activities, and a gallery display of related pieces. Come witness how art and storytelling merge to illuminate identity, spark dialogue, and reimagine representation.

Truth or Test is a sultry, consent-forward game night where desire meets real talk. Expect steamy rounds of Truth or Dare, spicy trivia, and sexy scenarios designed especially for Black queer and trans folks. Come curious, leave empowered.

Truth or Test: Naughty Game Night is where pleasure meets protection—and where fun meets facts.

Designed especially for Black queer men, trans women, and nonbinary folks ages 18–30, this unapologetically sexy and affirming evening invites you to come as you are and leave feeling empowered.

Hosted at the vibrant Jamii Center, this isn’t your typical night out. It's a space where community, curiosity, and consent collide over spicy rounds of Naughty UNO, raunchy dares, truth-or-dare-style cards, and moments that’ll make you laugh, blush, and think twice.
And because caring for your body is the ultimate act of self-love, free and confidential STI/HIV testing will be available onsite, provided by our trusted partners at TCA Health.

Pulse & Power is a drum circle event that brings the community together through the power of rhythm. Rooted in the ancient tradition of communal drumming, participants will explore different hand drums, learn how to create polyrhythmic sequences, and experience the benefits of enhanced coordination and stress relief.

Soul Tones is an opportunity to relax, release, and recharge in a restorative sound bath experience.

Guided by healing vibrations from singing bowls and chimes, participants are invited to rest deeply, reconnect inward, and find stillness through sound. No experience needed—just bring yourself.
