Greenbelt Evening Ride | Anne Frank Memorial to Discovery Park
Details
Weather permitting, we’ll do a moderate-paced Greenbelt ride from the Anne Frank Memorial to Discovery Park and back.
With rain in the forecast, I’m choosing a Greenbelt route this time to help avoid damaging muddy foothill trails and to keep conditions more predictable.
Ride Details:
• Estimated Distance: approximately 17–20 miles round trip
• Pace: 12mph - moderate, steady social fitness pace
• Terrain: paved Greenbelt path
• Planned Stop: short break at Discovery Park before returning
This is not a race pace ride, but it also won’t be an extremely slow cruise. Riders should be comfortable maintaining a steady pace for the full distance.
Please bring:
• Hydration/water
• Bike in good working condition
• Helmet
• Appropriate layers depending on weather conditions
• Lights if conditions may become dark or overcast
Trail and path conditions can change quickly depending on weather, pedestrians, wildlife, debris, and other users of the Greenbelt. Please ride responsibly and stay aware of your surroundings.

A quick note:
This is one of the first hosted events for the group, so I’m intentionally keeping things straightforward and smaller while building a solid outdoor community and good group culture from the beginning.
Disclosure:
This is a community-organized activity and not a professional guiding service. I am not a certified cycling instructor or tour guide — just someone who enjoys outdoor activities and wants to connect active people in the Boise area.
All participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness, equipment, preparedness, and personal safety. By attending, you acknowledge that outdoor recreation and cycling involve inherent risks and that participation is voluntary and at your own discretion.
Please arrive on time and ready to ride so we can get home early.
