About us
Welcome to Boise Evenings and Weekends Active Outdoors Community
This group is activity-focused first, but also intended to help active people build genuine social connections and friendships through shared outdoor experiences.
Many members may be single, new to the area, rebuilding community, or simply looking to meet other active adults with similar interests and energy.
The focus is on people who enjoy getting outside regularly who prefer a moderate to somewhat fast pace, positive attitude, and low-drama environment.
Activities may include:
• Hiking
• Backpacking
• Stand up paddle boarding
• Snowshoeing
• XC skiing
• Other outdoor adventures as the group grows
Most events will take place on evenings and weekends, with smaller group sizes to keep things social, organized, and enjoyable.
This group is intended for people who:
• enjoy being active
• can maintain a steady pace during activities
• are dependable and respectful
• want to meet other outdoors-oriented adults
• value community over competition
You do not need to be an expert in every activity to join. The goal is simply to create a strong community of people who enjoy outdoor recreation, trying new things, and spending time with others who actually want to get outside and participate.
Dogs are welcome when trail or location rules allow. Members are expected to follow all posted regulations, respect the environment, and contribute positively to the group experience.
If you’ve been looking for a group that balances activity, consistency, and good people without turning everything into an extreme sport or a slow social crawl, you’ll probably fit in well here.
Important Note
This group is community-based and not a professional guiding service. I’m not a certified tour guide or outdoor instructor — just someone who enjoys outdoor activities and wants to build a solid community of active people.
Members are responsible for assessing their own abilities, fitness level, gear, preparedness, and personal safety during all activities.
By attending events, participants acknowledge that outdoor recreation involves inherent risks and that they participate voluntarily and at their own discretion.
Everyone is expected to use good judgment, follow trail and park regulations, respect group guidelines, and take responsibility for themselves and their guests or pets.
