What we’re about
We like to have inclusive and interesting discussions where everyone gets a say and everyone is welcome. A good movie is so much better when you can talk with others about their experience, including stuff you didn't even notice. I find the same with this bookclub!
It is great to have such wonderful curated lists so we are largely cushioned from duds or difficult choices that plague other bookclubs. We read and discuss Man Booker, Nobel Prize for Literature and Miles Franklin Literary award winning novels monthly over a nice glass of something, somewhere in North Fitzroy or walking distance from there. We aim to rotate through the prizes and choose books a few months in advance to give people time to find and read the next book. I hope to see you at the next one, look for the books on the table and the laughter!
