Brisbane Festival - Skylore + Public Art Trail

Details

Event details:
Brisbane Festival is coming in September with a few fun sounding free events. Friday after work activity - plan being to have a walk through South Bank, view Public Art Trail popups, watch the Skylore drone light display from river edge which sounds pretty awesome, then catch a City Cat to the Powerhouse in New Farm for a drink and a wander around before going our separate ways.

Maybe a little ambitious for a Friday night but let’s see how it goes! This is a long way out so might make adjustments closer to date :)

Meeting point: Under the Ferris Wheel in Southbank - I will post specific location and what I am wearing on the day so you can find me.
Start time: 6:30pm - in order to catch the 7:15 Skylore Light Display (there is also one at 8:15 and 9:15)
Travel from Southbank to New Farm: Aim to get on City Cat at around 7:30pm to be in New Farm by around 8pm
Powerhouse New Farm: This will be a fairly casual affair to wander through and see what’s on - and have some food and drink for those who would like from one of the bars / restaurants
What to bring: wear comfortable clothing and money for whatever you’d like to purchase
End time: 9:00pm approx. depending on travel time to Power House

Personal disclaimer:
I've run a number of meetups in the past (in Sydney) and attended many more (all over the world), and I have learned it best not to give anyone my phone number straight away. If you need help or are lost on the day, please use the comments section or send me a message using the meetup app. Also, I expect a level of common sense and independence of those attending these events. While I definitely want to be welcoming and help foster conversation, I won't be baby sitting anyone. You need to be responsible for yourself - it's just a common courtesy so that everyone can have a good time. Thanks!
