About us
The BrisVegan meetup is a social group for like-minded people to come together in Magandjin (Brisbane) to share food, ideas, knowledge and create community. Our group philosophy is very similar to the concept of ubuntu.
You don't have to be vegan to join but please only order vegan food at meetups and bring vegan suitable dishes to pot lucks etc. We would love to introduce you to how great vegan food can be!
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Turrbal and Jagera people. We thank them for their ongoing care of the country we meetup on.

Petit boardgames and chats @ Netherworld
Netherworld, 186 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley, QL, AUCome along and have fun playing (new) board games, arcade and pinball machines, chilling and relaxing from your day and/or simply having conversations with other people from the group. Netherworld has a HUGE selection of boardgames, so there is no need to bring any.
RSVPs are even looser than normal. This is a drop in where you can come early or leave anytime. Netherworld is open from 12:00 to 23:00.
We will be on the tables in front of the Kitchen, just through to the right after you come in.
Everyone is welcome, but if you are not vegan (even vegetarian), and you are attending this event, please order vegan food to respect the mission of the group and other members. Monthly Social - Dinner @ Yavanna
Yavanna, 2 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington, AUCome along to our regular social dinner!
We'll be meeting up at Yavanna in Paddington for a chat and dinner.
Yavanna has a great menu full of comfort food, such as their Classic CFC, Burgers and Parmigiana, along with options like the Miso Tofu Salad Bowl. This event is open to vegans and the vegan-friendly. Last-minute RSVPS are fine.
There are bus stops just near Yavanna for those coming by PT.

Action for Animals Community Digital Activism Meetup @ Vega Cafe (or online)

Each month, we gather online Actions from around the movement that create a kinder world for animals and protect the planet we share. 🌏
You can do them online in your own time, or come along to Vega Cafe and meet up on the first Sunday of every month with a friendly group of fellow animal defenders to do them together.
Bring your laptop, tablet or phone, grab something from Vega’s lovely menu, and settle in to connect and take Actions together – things like signing petitions, writing to decision-makers, making policy submissions, or adding supportive online comments and reviews.
Anyone looking for advice on other forms of activism around SEQ should also come along, as we can probably point you in the right direction.

Brisbane Vegan Board Games + monthly dinner @ Vega Cafe, Spring Hill
Vega Cafe, 448 Boundary St, 1, Spring Hill, AUCome along to our event on the second Friday of every month where you can eat, drink, chat and play games with like-minded people!
We provide games and will help you learn to play them - all you need to bring is yourself. If you have any games you want to share, feel free to bring them along as well.
We will be at Vega Cafe in Spring Hill. It's a lovely space with outdoor tables and gorgeous artwork on the walls. This is a casual event, so turning up late, with an extra friend and changing your RSVP at the last minute are all fine. We often get a good turnout, so we look forward to seeing regular faces and new ones.
