Let’s enjoy a winter afternoon along Calea Victoriei, one of Bucharest’s most beautiful and historic boulevards. Once known as Podul Mogoșoaiei, this road was originally paved with wooden planks to keep travelers above the mud — today it’s lined with elegant architecture, glowing decorations, and a festive December atmosphere. ✨
As we make our way through the city’s winter scenery, if time allows, we may also step briefly into Cișmigiu Park — Bucharest’s oldest and most charming public garden. Even in winter, its winding alleys and peaceful corners offer a lovely moment of calm before we continue our route.
We’ll then continue toward Universitate, home to the University of Bucharest since 1864. During the holidays, the square transforms into a sparkling Christmas Market, filled with thousands of lights, local crafts, music, and seasonal aromas.
You’ll find stalls offering mulled wine, hot cocoa, and festive treats for anyone who wants to enjoy something warm while exploring.
We aim to arrive around 16:30, just as the market lights shine brightest. And since we finish right at Universitate Metro Station, everyone can easily head home or continue their evening in the city.
