Inattentive ADHD & the Game of Life - Tues June 2, 7:00 - 8:30pm
·OnlineOnlineIt is often said that if you have seen one person with ADHD, you have seen one person with ADHD. Yet, too frequently, people with ADHD seem to believe that others' ADHD impacts them in the same way. Some firmly believe ADHD is a disability, while others argue it is merely a difference, and still others are adamant that it is a superpower.
This presentation demonstrates how and why ADHD is very individual from the moment of birth onward. Case examples of two boys and two girls with ADHD will be highlighted, demonstrating how different their lives are, even though they each have a diagnosis of ADHD. Cynthia Hammer, MSW brings her social work training and her thirty plus years learning about ADHD to this revealing presentation.
Cynthia Hammer, MSW, was diagnosed with ADHD at age 49. She is the director of the non-profit, Inattentive ADHD Coalition (www.iadhd.org) and founder of the project to FINDtheADHDgirls.org. She believes that ADHD is a disability, but with knowledge, strategies, and determination we can transform our disability into a difference or even into something desirable.
Cynthia’s book, Living with Inattentive ADHD is available at Amazon or wherever you buy your books. All proceeds from this book go to the Inattentive ADHD Coalition.

Young Adults with ADHD Support Group Thursday Jun 18, 7:00 - 8:30pm
·OnlineOnlineOur group aims to provide a safe space for people with ADHD.
Trying to find solutions to problems, complete tasks and resolve issues that your neurotypical friends and family seem to not struggle with can be difficult. Our group can help with that! Meeting with our CHADD group will give you an opportunity to help others while learning and feeling more powerful in your own life.
Learning how to adult as a human with ADHD and it’s accompanying disorders (depression/ anxiety..etc) can make you feel alone but here we choose to accept ourselves for the weirdos and heroes that we truly are.
There is so much to celebrate about being able to help build a community that can talk openly about the struggles and obstacles people with ADHD deal with and overcome daily. Let's share strategies that have worked so we can all benefit from our collective experiences!
Note: Although none of us are therapists we are committed to safety and privacy. What is said in this group stays in this group.
We have a discord! DM me for the link or come to the group.
