Richmond to Reeth :
Distance 12.25 miles

The walk from leaving Richmond until Marske is reached follows the route of the Coast to Coast walk .This stays away from the river and gives good views over Swaledale .
At Marske we now follow the course of Marske Beck passing through Clints .The line of the Scar that gives the hamlet its name can be seen above us following the line of the beck .
We cross the beck at Orgate Bridge and it is here that Orgate Force can be seen upstream on our right . Hopefully there as been some rain recently so we see the falls at there best .we now continue to follow the valleybut on the opposite side until Helwith is reached . From there we strike across Marrick Moor to reach Fremington Edge . here we get striking viesa of upper Swaledale and Arkengartdale . A path via White House now drops us down to our destination At Reeth
