✅ Guided Hikes: Each hike has a dedicated walk leader, most often with experience of leading groups ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. However, not all our walk leaders are qualified and although you walk at your own risk, it is thought to be safer walking in groups than individually. Safety

New Buses from Bradford to Nidderdale
There is a new bus service on summer Sundays from Bradford to Ripon via Otley, Washburndale, Pateley Bridge and Fountains Abbey. It also goes quite near Brimham Rocks.
There are lots of walks possible or have a day out to Fountains Abbey or Ripon.
It is quite convenient and much cheaper than a car ride!
You can catch this at Shipley from the Keighley direction using the Keighley Leeds bus.
There is also a bus from Keighley to Scar House via Otley, Washburndale and Pateley Bridge.

Todmorden Circular

Train at 10.04 from Bradford Interrchange to Todmorden.
Walk will start at 10.40

Ascent 1125 feet
There is no charge on our Saturday walks .We climb up to Bridestones Moor , go around the escarpment overlooking the Calder Valley and return back to Todmordon .Ther climb out of town is quite steep so walking poles recommended if you have them .
The Finish time of 15.00 is only an estimate and could be earlier or later depending on how the day goes .

A Walk : Fox House Inn To Bakewell

Finish Bakewell
Todays walk takes in some of Derbyshire's grit stone edges until Wellingtons monument is reached .Along this part of the walk we pass By Robbin Hoods Well and then Little Johns Well. However ,I cannot guarantee that these can be found .
After leaving the monument we follow paths to Robin Hood and then follow Dobb Edge into the Chatsworth estate and past Chatsworth House to the river Derwent .From here we cross the river and then take the path leading up to Edensor . Paths from here are taken yo our destination in Bakewell .
The Coach will be in the showground whilst the town has cafes pubs and the Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop."A Duke & an Earle"
B Walk : Grouse Inn , Froggatt to Bakewell

Descent 1443 feet
The walk starts on Froggatt Edge above Upper Padley . We continue on Cubar Edge and Baslow Edge Edge to the Eagle Stone and Wellingtons Monument .A short descent then takes us into Baslow . Here we join the vast Chatsworth Estate . After passing Chatsworth House we follow the River Derwent to Beeley Bridge .Now we head west climbing to Calton Houses before descending to Calton Pastures .A short scent to Manners Wood then our destination Bakewell is a short distance away , after crossing the River Wye.C Walk ; Baslow to Bakewell.
Leader : Jackie WilkesD Option : Do your own walk or spend the day in the beautiful Market town of Bakewell in the Derbyshire Dales with its many independent shops and Cafes . The River Wye runs through the town and there is plenty to do with a lovely Park and the local Bakewell Old House Museum is well worth a visit .
