About us
"I chose the road less travelled… Now I don’t know where I am."
"Never follow someone else's path unless you're in the woods and you're lost, and you see a path. By all means, you should follow that." - Ellen Degeneres
"Bring a compass. It's awkward when you have to eat your friends." - Unknown
So maybe we caught your interest?
Quick note then I’ll tell you what we’re about. We’ve never gotten lost or had to look at members as a food source. This is Chattanooga Outdoor Adventures not the Donner Party (some of you will get that).
We enjoys the outdoors in all forms. Events like Hiking, Rafting, Kayaking, and everything else.
But wait there’s more! I sound like a Ginsu knife commercial. Let’s not let any of the Donners have one of those.
We also plan other great activities in and around Chattanooga. Not just hiking. Musical events, food and wine festivals. A concert in a cave, you get the idea
It’s an open group and would love to get everyone involved and plan a lot of different things. Inclusion and fun are key.
Not just hiking, Adventures of all kinds

Pizza Bros. Italian & The 4 Bridges Arts Festival
Pizza Bros Southside, 1817 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN, USFun Fact! The iconic scene in Disney's the Lady and the Tramp was almost cut by Walt. He thought that dogs eating Spaghetti would look silly. Had the scene been cut, Lady and the Tramp may not have been included in AFI's “100 Greatest Love Stories of All Time.”
Sooo One of the greatest love stories of All time is two dogs? Alright then.
Second fun fact involving Italian food and dogs. I was home in Upstate NewYork from College for the summer. In the basement of my friend George's parents house he wanted to display a talent he had taught his Yellow Lab named Alex. He had tied a towel to the fridge door.
"Alex, go get me a beer!"
Alex shot up the steps. Returned with a beer. I and my other friend Joe were amazed and quickly placed our orders. There wasn't even that much dog saliva on the cans. If you know young dudes you know that wasn't a factor. The beer was cold and you can wipe the top of the can off.
I watched as Alex kind of slyly checking back slipped back upstairs. 5-10 Minutes later I heard Joe ask...
"George, did you have spaghetti for dinner last night?"
"Yea, how'd ya know."
We both looked back at Alex, the Yellow lab who now had a very red spaghetti sauce stained face. Seems Walt's inclination that a dog is more inclined to face plant in a plate of spaghetti is more accurate, but his animator Frank Thomas' depiction is more iconic.
My point? Let's get some Italian at Pizza Bros. on the Southside and go to the 4 Bridges arts festival. You can push the meatball over to your loved one to share with a fork though please. I mean I could see the look on a girls face after you wiped your schnoz all over her food. Dude she won't be impressed. Wondering about your mental state? Maybe. Impressed? No.
Follow me for more Romance tips and let's go eat lunch at Pizza Bros.

Chattanooga, TN 37408Then it's a short walk to the First Horizon Pavilion to see the 4 Bridges Art festival. Heard about it. Never been. Let's go.
When we get there wander around and look at both the Artsy and the Fartsy stuff. Wait skip the Fartsy stuff. I am reverting back to the three dudes watching TV and drinking beer in their parents basement in Upstate.

Fancher Falls Kayak and SUP trip
Cookeville Boat Dock, 13800 Cookeville Boatdock Road, Baxter, TN, USInside Joke with one of our members with the goat picture. Yes I still have my goat trophy you gave me. It is right next to my metal Goat Island Brewing company sign. The kind you see up on the walls of bars...
Wait before you accuse me of any larceny involving sign theft I am innocent, this time. I won it at some trivia thing. Goat Island has the best Blood Orange beer.
So I am posting three events today you get the short writeup.
Here is the short version
Not Carpooling for this one. My Daughter and I have our own paddle boards and we won't have room
This is a flat water paddle approximately 3 miles out and 3 miles back to Fancher falls. We meet at the Cookeville Boat dock.
An hour paddle out, an hour or so at the falls and then about an hour back.
You need your own paddle board or kayak. There is a local company if you want to rent, but it comes with restrictions. You can get all of the information here.
Cumberland Kayak Adventure/Fancher FallsThe rental is entirely up to you if you can make it work with our times.
Then since we have worked up an appetite and I love Mexican food we go into Cookeville and eat at
Cinco Amigos
