Est. 2024
Chilled Out Meetups is one of Leeds biggest groups organising social events for 18 to 38 year olds. First time here? See information for new members by clicking this link.
Our events include an organised walk every other week (over summer), coffee and drinks socials, women-only events and one off visits to destinations in Leeds and sometimes further out. We also run 'one off' events from time to time, and hope to add more types of activities in future.
Are you in charge of a venue or other potential event destination? We'd love to hear from you about working together to put on a Meetup. In return for a space, we can offer a large group of new customers and potentially repeat business in the form of one our regular events. Feel free to send us a message.
ORGANISERS WANTED - Our group is co-owned equally by its organisers. Most decisions are made by organizers giving unanimous approval. If you're interested in running events let us know, no matter what type of event you want to do - remember as an organiser you decide the time, place and activity.
We are fully committed to everyone feeling safe and secure at events so there will be zero tolerance for any harassment, unwanted attention or any other disrespectful behavior. This is a space without any kind of prejudice including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia etc. and this includes 'jokes' and 'memes', please take it elsewhere. We may organise women-only events - if this is a problem then this isn't the right group for you.
You can make a donation to the group here.
If you treat others with kindness and use some common sense you should get along fine here, but if you'd like to check our rules you can see them here.
Our financials are kept open for public viewing. You can see the ledger here.

- Enlightenment: Immersive Light Show (& Leeds City Museum)Leeds City Museum, Leeds
Something a bit different... Enlightenment: An Immersive Light Show is coming to Leeds. Bean bags are provided to lay on and this audio-visual extravganza is projected onto the ceiling. Since this takes place in Leeds City Museum, we'll check out the museum first, then go to Trinity Kitchen for food afterwards.
The show portion of this event is paid and requires a ticket for entry. I highly recommend getting a ticket for the 14:00 screening now since they might sell out.
13:00 - Meet at Leeds City Museum and spend some time checking out this free attraction.
13:45 - Arrive 15 minutes early (as requested by the organisers) before the screening

You can see more details and buy a ticket here. To avoid disappointment, buy a ticket now since they might sell out.
Standard ticket is £15. This is set by 3rd party organisers and we have no control over this. If this is more than you wanted to spend, feel free to use the time to enjoy more of the museum then join us afterwards to go to Trinity Kitchen.
About the other venues
Leeds City Museum is the main 'general purpose' museum in Leeds, with many fascinating exhibits on display over multiple floors. Entry is free. You can see more details here.
Trinity Kitchen is a trendy food venue with many independent, locally owned options available, including permanent stalls and a rotating selection of food vans. Since all seating is shared between all the food outlets, you can get anything you want and sit with the group. You can see more details here.
FAQs
This is Leeds city centre, so there is very little street level parking available. You can park in one of the multi-storey car parks but keep in mind this can cost around £2-3 per hour. Allow time to park up, it can take a while in these big car parks. Alternatively, all bus and train connections are within a short walk.
If there is any portion of this event you don't want to take part in, feel free to join us for what you would enjoy. If you just want to come for food, you can join us for the Trinity Kitchen part.
Depending on demand we will likely go for a drink afterwards. This is up to the members who attend.
- Fluffy FluffyFluffy Fluffy, Leeds
Fluffy Fluffy has taken Leeds by storm with their super fluffy soufflé pancakes, so let's check it out. The venue isn't the biggest so as long as the weather is OK we'll get our food to take away then head to Cookridge Street around the corner where there are some benches to hang out.
You can check out the menu here. Obviously the signature item is fluffy pancakes, but basque cheesecake and croffles (with sweet and savoury options) are also on the menu - plus a variety of coffee and other drinks.
Make sure you order to take away then after leaving the venue turn right, walk, then turn right again. This will take you to the newly pedestranised Cookridge Street which has plenty of spaces to sit down. If the plan changes due to inclement weather I will post about it here.
Wait Time
This venue has been very popular however we are visiting at a time when it's normally quieter so we shouldn't have to wait long to order. Please note fluffy pancakes take a while to prepare - around 20 minutes - so relax and have a chin wag with the other attendees but make sure to listen out for your order.
Dietary Requirements
Fluffy Fluffy does not make much information about dietary requirements, allergies etc. available on the website. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the venue directly.
Budget
Food items cost around £8-10 and drinks around £5. Unfortunately prices have risen across the board even just since a couple of years ago, never mind since before the pandemic, which affects all venues we could go to so can't be helped.
Afterwards
There's no particular plan but we could go for a drink after the main event.
